Note: Currently, the information below is based not only on developer statements, but also on leaks and files obtained by data miners and testers, so it is not 100% reliable and may change over time.
Honkai: Star Rail 1.5 release date
For an unknown reason, HoYoverse decided to reduce the duration of patch 1.4 to five weeks, so the release of the future update will take place already November 15, 2023. If the developers return to the six-week schedule, it will be replaced by version 1.5 around December 27 of this year.
You can preload the client a few days before its release. The developers will probably carry out technical work, which can last up to five hours. Players are usually given compensation of 300 star jades.
Live broadcast on Honkai: Star Rail 1.5
Developers almost always hold special streams 1.5-2 weeks before the next update is released. They are usually carried out on Friday-Sunday. Live Stream according to the current patch there will be 3 November 2023 at 14:30 Moscow time. As part of it, 3 promotional codes for 300 star jades will be published.
New banners and characters
The studio has already officially unveiled three new characters that will be released in patch 1.5, namely: Hoho, Argenti and Hania. None of these heroes have been featured in the game yet. Next, let's look at their characteristics and time of appearance.
First phase banners
In the first half of the patch, during Jumps you will most likely receive:
- 5-Star Characters: Hoho (Abundance: Windy) - A trainee judge from the Commission of Ten Lords who is possessed by heliobi. She is a timid and fragile girl who is afraid of supernatural things, but tries to properly do her job of exorcising demons.
- 4-star characters: unknown yet.
In the Weapon Banner, you will be able to obtain a Hoho signature weapon called “Fright Night”, related to the Path of Abundance.
Second phase banners
In the second half of the patch, during Jumps you will most likely receive:
- 5-star characters: Argenti (Erudition: Physical) - a noble Knight of Beauty who admires the eon Idrila, who disappeared long ago into the abyss of space. He wanders throughout the universe, glorifying his mistress everywhere. Silver Wolf (Nothingness: Quantum).
- 4-Star Characters: Hanya (Harmony: Physical) – A judge of the Commission of Ten Lords who wields the Pen of Prophecy, allowing her to reveal people's sins and read their karma. With the help of the pen, she can assign karmic retribution. The rest of the epic characters are still unknown.
In the weapon banner, you will be able to get an Argenti signature weapon called “Stop a Moment”, related to the path of Erudite.
Changing the map
Rumor has it that a new area will be added to the game called Fixestroll Garden, which is located in Luofu Xianzhou. Her map has already leaked online, and it looks quite large. It has bombuk groves, rock formations and a pond in the center. Apparently, this location will boast a considerable number of beautiful natural landscapes.
Naturally, you can find new chests on it. There may be additional activities and puzzles. At the same time, the developers are definitely not going to add a new planet – Penaconia. Apparently, this world will be introduced into the game either at the very end of 2023, or as early as next year.
Dungeons
In the new area you will be able to find another Corrosion Cave. Clearing it will allow players to obtain two new sets of relics: “Prisoner of the Dark Dungeon” and “Duke Burnt to ashes”, which we described in more detail below.
New tasks
Considering that the trip to Penaconia is postponed indefinitely, there is no need to expect new story quests. Most likely, another mission will be added to continue the Development, the action of which will unfold in the territory of Luofu Xianzhou. Surely, it is within the framework of it that players will be able to unlock the very garden that we talked about just above.
Companion Missions
Insiders report that in patch 1.5, quests for new characters will be released: Hoho and Argenti. Leaked footage from these missions has already appeared on the Internet.
New light cones
The developers are going to add three new light cones at once. Their characteristics and passive skills are listed in the table below.

Virtual Universe (changes)
Insiders report plans for HoYoverse to update the Virtual Universe. The 8th World will be added to it, at the end of which you will have to fight a new boss named Cirrus. By completing this level, gamers will be able to farm two new sets of planar decorations: Dreamland Penaconia and Skyfleet Glatiramer.
New enemies
Bosses
In the Virtual Universe, you will be able to encounter a new boss - Cirrus, who is an evil spirit immune to physical attacks. It will be possible to hit him only when all the minions he summoned are defeated. He can strengthen his minions, propelling their actions forward.
The second new boss is Argenti, who can be encountered in the Forgotten Halls. He can summon support for himself, who will put shields on his leader and attack your characters.
Opponents
The developers will also add new ordinary and elite opponents: the Phantom Guardian, the Mara-Stricken Soldier and the Aurumaton Spectral Envoy. Most likely, you can meet them in a new location and the 8th World.

Two new sets of cave relics will be added. Their characteristics are shown in the table below.

New mechanics
An option will be added to the Consumables (Inventory) category allowing players to specify two consumables that will be automatically consumed before the start of a battle.
The developers intend to increase the number of Battle Pass levels. Having reached level 50, you can continue to increase it up to level 70. However, for each new level a fixed reward of 10 thousand credits and 20 relic fragments will be given.
New events
The Fox's Ghost Story
The main event of the patch, which will take place in Luofu Xianzhou. It is within this framework that the Pathfinder will first meet Hoho and visit the Fixestroll Garden. In it, players will need to search and catch evil spirits. Judging by the leaked screenshots, Sushan and Guinaifen will also play a significant role in the plot.
This event will include various mini-games, puzzles and story quests. It is for completing it that you will be able to get a 4-star weapon “Hey, I’m here.”
