Note: Currently, the information below is based not only on developer statements, but also on leaks and files obtained by data miners and testers, so it is not 100% reliable and may change over time.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.1 release date
HoYoverse has decided to increase the duration of Patch 2.0 to seven weeks in order to restore the two-week gap between the release of updates for Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. For this reason, the release of the next version of the game will take place only March 27, 2024. If the developers do not change the schedule again, it will be replaced by update 2.2 around May 8 of this year.
You can preload the client a few days before its release. The developers will probably carry out technical work, which can last up to five hours. Players are usually given compensation of 300 star jades.
Live broadcast on Honkai: Star Rail 2.0
Developers almost always hold special streams one and a half to two weeks before the next update is released. They are usually organized on Friday-Sunday. A live broadcast of the current patch will be held March 15, 2024 at 14:30 Moscow time. As part of it, 3 will be published promotional code for 300 star jades.
New banners and characters
The company has already officially unveiled three new characters that are likely to be released in patch 2.1, namely Gallagher, Acheron and Aventurine. Insiders published the characteristics and approximate time of appearance of these heroes.
First phase banners
In the first half of the patch during Jumps You can get the following characters:
- 5-stars are Acheron (Non-Existence: Electric) and Fu Xuan (Conservation: Quantum).
- 4-star – Gallagher (Abundance: Fire).
Acheron is a lone space traveler who calls herself the Galaxy Ranger. Reserved and taciturn, Acheron compensates for her cold nature with a fast and lightning-fast fighting style, skillfully wielding her longsword. Her skill is enough to win victories without taking the sword out of its sheath at all. In a squad, she will most likely play the role of the main or secondary damage dealer.
Gallagher is a law enforcement representative from the Hound clan, holding the position of officer, and part-time, a skilled bartender who knows a lot about mixing drinks. The man is sloppy and lazy, but he is quite polite with visitors. Gallagher is wary of new faces, which may be due to a difficult past, the details of which he is in no hurry to divulge to others. He will play the role of a healer on the team.
The Acheron signature weapon will be available in the weapon banner, but its name and characteristics are still unknown.
Second phase banners
In the second half of the patch (starts on April 17), the following characters can be obtained during Jumping:
- 5-stars are Aventurine (Save: Imaginary) and Topaz (Hunt: Fire).
Aventurin is an incredibly ambitious KMM employee with a bright personality and purposeful character. He perceives life as a promising business plan, in which it is important to be able to take risks - this is the only way to achieve unattainable heights. Given his path, we can assume that he will become a good shield warrior. Perhaps he will have supporting or attacking skills.
Aventurine's signature weapon will be available in the weapon banner, but its stats and passive ability are still unknown.
Changing the map
In the last patch, the developers introduced a new planet with 5 additional locations, so in the upcoming update they will most likely continue to expand Penaconia, adding a new area where the events of the next story quests will take place. In a similar way, they increased the size of Luofu Xianzhou.
Perhaps other types of activities and puzzles will appear in the new area. In any case, you can find additional chests in it.
New tasks
Development Missions
The developers promised to continue the Penaconia storyline, which should only end in patch 2.2. We may finally find out who exactly killed Robin and Firefly, and what or who Sam was after.
Companion Missions
Considering the appearance of three new characters in the game at once, the developers will certainly add additional personal quests for the heroes. However, it is not yet known who exactly will receive them.
New enemies
Bosses
Insiders note that Aventurine will be a new boss in update 2.1. One of his skills will be able to apply the Casino debuff to your characters. While it is active, heroes will not be able to hit Aventurine. Instead, the roulette wheel will spin, the result of which can be either positive (energy restoration) or negative (takes away skill points).
