In Genshin Impact In the Light, Beneath the Shadow is a book that must be found to complete the world quest "A Collection of Dragons and Snakes". To get it, you will have to solve a couple of puzzles in Dainichi Mikoshi and The Serpent’s Heart, related to triangular mechanisms, symbols on the walls and seals on blue barriers. This guide provides their detailed solutions.
Solving the puzzle with triangular mechanisms in Dainichi Mikoshi
Head to the indicated location by teleporting to the central fast travel point. We advise you to switch to Eternal Night before this. Then turn right and go down the stairs. Jump down from the stone ledge and look for the deactivated guardian of the ruins. Near it there will be powder kegs that must be blown up to open the passage.
Then deal with the turned on the guardian of the ruins and go into the passage. There you will see two triangular mechanisms. Hit the device on the right 1 time (this must be done in Eternal Night). After that, the grate in front should go down.
Now exit the room, walk forward and glide down to the night shift platform that is mounted on a pillar. You will need to switch to White Night. Go back to the triangular mechanisms. Hit the one on the left 1 time. The stone wall will slide down and you will be able to inspect the rich chest. Ahead also hangs a red phantasm, disappearing at Eternal Night.
Therefore, it is necessary to return to the device for changing the time of day and activate the Eternal Night. Then go back to the wall. Instead of fantasy, there will now be a drawing with 5 characters. Climb to the center and activate the hint. Similar signs you could see during the mission "The Heart of Ouroboros". The arrows show the order in which you select the seals you will need to touch in the future.
Solving the puzzle with symbols in The Serpent’s Heart
Travel to The Serpent’s Heart to the building with blue barriers. Go inside and start touching the seals in the order that was shown in the drawing in Dainichi Mikoshi. To make it easier for you, we have shown the required sequence of characters in the screenshots below. Just touch the barriers to activate them.
Note: If nothing happens to you when choosing symbols in the above sequence, then carefully study your drawing on the floor and look at the marks (small triangles) near the signs: their number indicates the desired order, that is, if 1 triangle is marked, then this the symbol must be chosen first, if there are 2 triangles, then the second and so on.
After that, a chest should appear in the center of the building. Open it to find the book "In the Light, Beneath the Shadow". Congratulations, you have solved the puzzle.
