World 5 in Honkai Star Rail: How to Beat Kafka (Best Commands and Paths)

    Zorthrus

In Honkai: Star Rail, World 5 is part of the Virtual Universe and a kind of dungeon, clearing which you can get various rewards, including planar decorations. As part of its passage, you have to fight a couple of elite enemies and one powerful boss.

To successfully clear the World, you need to choose the right characters to create an effective team, choose the optimal Path and adhere to certain tactics when collecting blessings and fighting the boss. In this guide, we will take a detailed look at all these elements so that you can complete World 5 without any problems.

How to pass World 5 in the Virtual Universe

First, let's look at the basic information on this test. The level of your enemies will depend on the chosen difficulty. In the loading menu of the first unit, you can see 4 elite opponents, two of which you can face (chosen randomly), and the boss.

Here you can roughly get acquainted with the parameters and vulnerabilities of the main enemies that you have to fight, but we will look at their characteristics in a little more detail in the table below.

Name Fortitude Damage type Elemental Resistance Debuff resistance
    Kafka 450 units

    Electric

    Electrical resistance

    Freeze Resistance 50%

Apprentice Sanctus Medicus: Werewolf 360 units

    Electric

    Electrical resistance

    Shock Resistance 100%

    fire from space 300 units

    Fiery

    fire resistance

    Burn Resistance 100%

    Guardian Shadow 300 units

    Electric

    Void Ranger: Suppressor 300 units

    Quantum

It is necessary to take into account the features of the above enemies when choosing characters, which we will discuss later.

    Featured Characters

Damager - since the boss and most elite opponents are vulnerable to physical damage, we advise you to add main damage dealers capable of dealing this type of damage to the squad. As for the secondary DPS, they can be of the wind or imaginary combat type.

Shield/Tank/Support – March 7 is a good option for this challenge, as it can remove debuffs from allies when leveling up. If you teamed up with Pathfinder (Fire) or Cheetah, we advise you to select Conservation blessing “Design: Rotation” when possible, which has a 20% chance to remove a debuff from the character after receiving a shield. Thus, you will be able to remove "Domination" from the heroes when fighting Kafka.

You can also take Armor as support, which is also able to dispel debuffs with the help of its skill. Plus, she deals wind damage, which will help you break Kafka's toughness.

Healer - With the help of Natasha's skill, you can remove Kafka's debuffs from allies and penetrate her vulnerability. Baylu is unable to do any of this, but she does heal a little better and can resurrect a fallen comrade. Locha can also be a good choice, as it has good healing abilities and deals imaginary damage.

The table below shows the best characters for World 5, which you should definitely add to your squad if available.

    Character Peculiarities

    Dan Heng

Most enemies are vulnerable to wind damage, including the boss, so he can quickly break through their vulnerabilities and deal considerable damage. His attacks are also capable of inflicting Slow.

    Armor

It is able to deal good wind damage, increase the overall DPS of the team and remove debuffs. All in all, a perfect support for this challenge.

    Clara

Deals a lot of physical damage (many enemies are weak to it) to both single and multiple targets. She can play the role of a tank, taking all of Kafka's damage while constantly counterattacking her, breaking through the vulnerability.

    Sushan

A good physical damage dealer that deals significant damage to single targets. Can be taken instead of Dan Heng.

    Welt

Not only can it break through the vulnerability of most elite enemies and the boss, but it can also slow them down, giving damage dealers more time to deal damage. Another great support for this challenge.

    Optimal Teams

Important: The correct selection of characters is only half the battle. We should also not forget that the selected heroes must be pumped enough to fight the boss. For example, if Kafka's level is 72, then your heroes must be at least level 70, and have the same upgraded light cones. Don't forget to upgrade their Traces and Relics as well. Otherwise, you will lose.

Next, we will look at several teams that will be the easiest to go through World 5 and defeat Kafka. We will also briefly point out the optimal path and blessings (all of this is discussed in more detail below).

    F2P Squad

    Main-DD Sub-DD Sub-DD/Support Support

    Dan Heng

    Pioneer (physical)

    March 7

    Natasha

    Dan Heng

    Sushan

    Pioneer (fire)

    Natasha

Both teams will provide you with good debuff protection and survivability when choosing the path of Abundance (the first will do this a little better). Both can effectively knock vulnerabilities off Kafka, causing her a lot of damage. The main thing is to take the blessings of Abundance, Hunting and Preservation.

    Featured Units

    Main-DD Sub-DD Sub-DD/Support Support Path blessings

    Clara

    Welt (Dan Heng)

    Armor (Cheetah, March 7)

    Natasha

    abundance Abundance, Destruction and Preservation

    Dan Heng

    Welt

    Tingyun (Cheetah, March 7)

    Natasha

    abundance Abundance, Non-Being and Preservation

    Sushan

    Welt

    Armor (Cheetah, March 7)

    Natasha

    abundance Abundance, Hunting and Conservation

In the first team, Clara will be able to tank well, countering opponents and dealing splash damage with her ability. Armor and Welt will be able to support it, increasing damage and slowing enemies respectively. Blessings of Destruction will increase Clara's damage even further, but her life bar will need to be kept below 50%.

The second team is aimed at slowing down the opponents (Welt and Tingyun), allowing Dan Heng to deal significant damage to them. In terms of dealing damage, Tingyun will be almost useless in this fight, as many of the enemies are resistant to electricity. But she can significantly strengthen the main-DD. Blessings of the Unbeing will allow you to effectively slow enemies down.

The third squad builds around Sushan, who can deal massive physical damage to the boss while being enhanced by Armor and the blessings of the Hunt. Velt, as usual, will slow down enemies and break through their vulnerabilities.

    Best Paths and Blessings

In theory, you can complete World 5 by choosing any Path that matches your characters. However, we strongly advise you to choose one of two paths: Abundance or Hunt, both of which can be customized to fit the unit and characters listed above.

Abundance is considered the most suitable for this test. The fact is that starting from the second phase, Kafka will begin to put marks on two of your characters at once, which in a few moves will be subject to her will if you do nothing. It will be possible to remove these weakenings from all heroes at once thanks to the discovery of the formation of the Aniccha resonance, which is precisely present in Abundance. By doing so, you will neutralize the most dangerous ability of the boss.

Hunting is also a good option for this World. Thanks to her, you will get more moves for action, and, therefore, you will have more time to unmark characters. This path is also aimed at dealing damage, which is also suitable for fighting Kafka, as the latter will constantly accumulate buffs to strengthen her attacks. So, the sooner you can defeat her, the lower the chance that the boss will kill your fighters with one attack. Plus, the resonance of the Hunt deals wind damage, which Kafka is vulnerable to.

Next, consider the strategy for choosing blessings for each Path separately.

    Abundance

The first step is to decide on the priority of choosing the resonance formations (if you were lucky enough to open them all):

    1. Anicca - it is for him that you choose this Path, so this formation should be taken in the first place. It will allow you to easily remove control from the characters even in the third phase of the fight with Kafka. So you should definitely collect at least 6 blessings of Abundance.
    2. Anatta - Gives a slightly weakened version of Path Resonance that appears in the Action Bar and activates automatically after a few turns. You'll be very lucky if it procs immediately after Kafka's debuffs are applied, as in this case you can immediately remove them.
    3. Nirvana without a trace - in fact, resurrects one character per battle. Not a very useful bonus for fighting Kafka.

Once again, we note that the boss will gradually accumulate buffs and at some point will be able to take out your heroes from two or three attacks. To prevent this, you need to balance your defensive and offensive abilities. In Path of Opulence, the main source of damage is the blessings associated with the Dewdrop, so they should be taken first.

Below, we list all the most important blessings of this path. Their description can be found in the game itself or in the pictures below.

    • Prosperity, longevity (enhanced).
    • Mudra of blessing (enhanced).
    • Salvation from the Curse - When the Dewdrop disappears, there is a 65% chance to remove 1 debuff from the character.
    • Mortal Buddhafields (Enhanced) - When a character's current HP is equal to their maximum health, increases the efficiency of charging Dewdrops by 120%.
    • Victorious force.
    • Rain of Truth (enhanced).
    • Aversion to suffering.
    • Jeweled Moonlight Candle (enhanced).

At the same time, it should be taken into account that although you will receive the blessings of the path of Abundance more often, their drop is still random. Therefore, if you do not see the necessary bonuses, then take buffs to increase damage (Hunting) or protection (Save) from other categories.

    Hunting

The first step is to decide on the priority of choosing the resonance formations (if you were lucky enough to open them all):

    1. Bow and Arrows - We recommend choosing this formation first of all, as it increases the damage from Resonance more than the others. Plus, you will be able to restore energy faster when fighting ordinary mobs.
    2. Perfect Accuracy - Gives more energy, and therefore you can use Resonance more often.
    3. Star Hunter - Strengthens your characters. Can be selected immediately after obtaining the "Bow and Arrows".

Most blessings of the Hunt are aimed at increasing the overall damage of the characters by increasing their speed, critical damage and crit chance. hits. The list below shows the most interesting buffs:

    • Imperishable Victory (enhanced).
    • Imperial rule (strengthened).
    • Adept's Bow (Empowered) - When an ally uses a super ability or performs consecutive attacks, they have a chance to inherit a Critical Strike Buff and increase the number of buff stacks by 1.
    • Floating mist.
    • The expulsion of Borisinians (enhanced).
    • Old Enemy Battle (Enhanced) - If a character's Crit Chance is over 100% and they have a Critical Buff, then for every 1% Crit Chance above 100%, they gain an additional 3% Critical Damage. For each stack of critical amplification crt. damage is increased by another 0.2%. Maximum critical damage can be increased up to 200% this way.
    • Favorable location.
    • Thunder passes over the earth.
    • catastrophic constellation.
    • High aspirations.
    • On the verge of life and death.

At the same time, it should be taken into account that although you will more often fall blessings of the path of the Hunt, their drop is still random. Therefore, if you do not see the necessary bonuses, then take buffs to increase damage from other paths. Naturally, the characters used should be taken into account. If you have damage dealers with bonus attacks, then take more blessings of Joy, and if with periodic damage, then take Non-Existence.

Also, don't forget to increase your team's vitality by sometimes taking blessings from the paths of Abundance and Preservation.

General Tips for Clearing World 5

If you have chosen the path of Abundance (recommended), then your main goal will be to collect the appropriate blessings until you get the resonance formation: Anicca and Anatta. To do this, you will need to get 10 buffs of the specified path, which can be quite difficult if luck is not on your side. Without these bonuses, the fight with Kafka will be much more difficult, since you will not be able to quickly heal the entire team and remove debuffs from them.

To maximize the chances of getting the desired blessings, try to keep a 2 to 1 ratio regarding the choice of battle zones and events. The former guarantee you at least one buff, and sometimes two. In events, they drop much less often. You can also spend Space Fragments at Recreation Areas to buy 1-star bonuses - be sure to take advantage of this option if you're running low on blessings.

Battles in the early stages are unlikely to cause you problems with proper leveling of heroes. Serious danger can arise when fighting a second elite enemy with a significant amount of health, or as part of an event where two mini-bosses can attack you at once. Don't underestimate these opponents by playing at half strength against them.

    How to beat Kafka

In World 5, at the end, you have to fight Kafka, the Stellaron hunter. The fight with her will consist of three phases. We will consider each of them, as they have a number of differences from each other.

    Phase 1

In addition to Kafka, two ordinary mobs will appear on the battlefield. Fortunately, the boss is unable to call for reinforcements, so after killing these common enemies, you will only have to fight the huntress.

Already at the first stage, Kafka will begin to accumulate a permanent buff that increases her damage by 2% when the “Shock” effect is triggered on your characters. Given this information, here are a couple of tips for fighting the boss in the first stage:

    • Focus all your attacks on Kafka, as the faster you kill her, the less likely she is to one-shot your heroes in the end.
    • As for ordinary mobs, then hit them with attacks on the area or in the presence of Clara - just kill them with Svarog's counterattacks.
    • Although removing Shock from heroes will slow down Kafka's buff, we still recommend spending skill points on dealing damage to the boss, and not on removing debuffs. However, if you have Anicca and Anatta resonance formations, you won't be afraid of any debuffs.

    Phase 2

Starting from the second stage, Kafka will use a skill that marks your two characters and adds a special ability to the action bar, when activated, the selected fighters will become the boss's puppets and begin to attack their allies.

Your main task at this stage is to remove marks from the heroes as quickly as possible. To do this, use Resonance Path of Abundance, support abilities (Natasha or March 7), or bonuses from blessings.

Naturally, you need to continue to deal damage to the boss. When she has 3-5% left, try not to use ults and other powerful attacks so as not to drain their damage for nothing. Better wait for the third phase.

    Phase 3

At this stage, the enemy will begin to impose labels on three of your characters at once. It won't be easy to take them out with mere abilities. It is for this reason that we advise you to choose the path of Abundance, the resonance of which can immediately remove debuffs from your entire squad.

If you have chosen a different path and do not have time to remove the weakening from all the heroes, then prioritize the purification of the characters. The first step is to remove debuffs from the healer and damage dealer.

We add that Kafka at this stage will begin to behave even more aggressively, constantly using attacks that hit the area. So get ready to heal your fighters often. Ultimately, you will be able to deal with the enemy.
