In Genshin Impact Conch Reminiscences is a browser event in patch 3.8, during which you will need to find and collect dream shells, images, and echoes. In some cases, you will have to solve puzzles with slimes. As a reward, you can get source stones and Hero’s Wit. In this guide, we will tell you where to find all the shells.
How to start the Conch Reminiscences event
The event started on July 27, 2023 and will end on August 3. To take part in it, you need to fulfill only one condition - to reach at least the 10th adventure rank. Then just go to the next LINK.
Note that for collecting 5 echo shells you can get 3 hero experience, but they will be given out only to the first 3 million players who get these items. For finding 5 shells of dreams and images, they give 40 source stones, but only the first 5 million gamers will be able to get them. So we advise you to hurry.
Where to find all the shells in the Shell Echoes event
To move around the world, use the arrows on the keyboard (unfortunately, the WASD layout is only valid for the first 2-3 minutes; perhaps the bug will be fixed). To open the map, click on the mini-map located in the upper right corner. It will show the approximate location of the shells. Below we will tell you in detail how to get to them.
Shells of Dreams
First shell
Right after spawning in the world, click on the Beidou: Weighing Anchor to summon Wavewalker. You will automatically board the ship. Then swim to the left until you reach a rocky island with a shell - click on it. Then go back and click on the school of fish to get fish meat.
Second shell
From the beach, head southeast past the brazier. To the left and below the squirrel you will see a turnip and the place where you need to place the Dendro slime. Once you do this, a shell will appear on the ground.
Shells of images
First shell
From the previous shell head northeast or from the beach head due east and you will find a bunch of leaves here - place Anemo Slimes next to them to blow off the leaves and find the shell.
Second shell
From the last sink, go southeast, to the bottom of the map, until you find a pile of firewood. Use the Pyro Slime to set fire to the boards and find the shell.
Third shell
From the last shell, go southwest until you see a hoard ferret. Approach him and then start following him east until he stops and crawls into a hole, leaving behind a barnacle.
Echo shells
First shell
From the previous shell, head west to the edge of the map, or from the beach, go southwest until Paimon prompts you to click on the swaying leaves. Quickly click on them 7-10 times to shake them up to reveal a shell.
Second shell
From the last sink, go northeast until you see a brazier. Place a Hydro Slime next to it in order to put out the fire and get the item you need.
Third shell
From the previous shell, go east to an empty camp with two cats. Put the previously caught fish in a bowl to distract the cat and take the shell.
fourth shell
From the last shell, continue east to the beach on the opposite side. When you reach the water, place the Cryo Slime in it to create an ice bridge and reach the shell.
Fifth shell
From the previous shell, go northwest until you see Electro Crystals standing around the shell. Use the Pyro Slime to destroy them, and then take the item you need.
After collecting all the shells, click on the “Shell Archive” icon on the right side of the screen, and then enter all sections to receive promo codes with rewards.
