In Remnants 2 The Engineer is a secret archetype that aims to use deployable heavy weapons and increase equipment durability. But to open it, you must first find an alien device in a hidden location. In this guide, you will learn how to unlock this class, where to get armor for it, and what features it has.

How to unlock the Engineer class in Remnant 2

First of all, you need to unlock the world of N'erud and go through its storyline a bit, since all the necessary items are mined only in this region.

How to get to the Vault of Infinity

You can get to the specified location only if you spawn on the map "Forgotten Prison". Starting in this area, keep left until you see a hatch on the ground leading to the story dungeon (you will see an exclamation point). Enter it and go to the fork. Then turn left to spawn Infinity Vault.

Note that this zone will also be highlighted as a story zone, that is, a yellow sign will hang above it, so you are unlikely to make a mistake. It has a fairly large size, and you can appear in any of its corners.

Where to find the secret area with the alien device

Locations in the game are randomly generated, but there are still certain patterns and landmarks that are of a fixed nature, and allow you to approximately indicate where to look for the desired object.

So, after spawning in the Vault of Infinity, run forward past one or two huge ledges on the left side until you reach the wall (edge of the map) on the left (a sample route is shown in the picture above).

Stick to this left wall until you see the following pattern of objects: an oblong ledge on the left and a group of sharp rocks on the right. The second screenshot below shows what it all looks like, while the first image shows a view of this secret area on the map.

Next, you will need to go past these sharp rocks and a ledge forward, ending up in a dense fog. Your character will immediately begin to feel sick due to the poisoning. Run up and jump to another ledge. There you will find a corpse from which you can pick up Chest of the Engineer.

After that, jump down to the bottom of the gorge to find the Alien Device (sometimes it lies on the body, which makes it unnecessary to go down). All this must be done quickly, until the purple bar is completely filled - in this case, you will die immediately.

Now return to Ward 13, go to Wallace the merchant at the tower and buy the engram from him "Caliper of Girs", by spending 1000 Scrap and 10 Luminite Crystals. As a result, you can become an Engineer.

    Engineer Features

This class is sharpened for the use of heavy weapons, and it can be both installed next to you in the form of turrets, and taken in hand. It is mainly aimed at dealing damage at close / medium range. Given the frequent collision with enemies, he can also increase the durability of his armor.

Engineer pairs well with Medic and Fighter. In the first case, he will be able to heal himself better and use relics more efficiently, and in the second, he will significantly increase his survivability and combat potential. Next, we will show all the abilities of the Engineer.

    Skills

With them, you can create a machine gun, a flamethrower and an impact cannon, using them as turrets or regular weapons. The first and second are good for destroying large groups of weak opponents, and the third is for killing thick-skinned targets. The flamethrower is practically useless against flying enemies.

    Primary Skill

Allows you to significantly increase the damage of heavy weapons, as it not only increases the direct damage from it, but also increases the rate of fire and gives infinite ammo.

    Techniques

They are aimed at speeding up your movement when using heavy weapons, replenishing ammo, enhancing skills and reducing damage.

    Core Talent

Increases the durability of equipment, that is, reduces the damage you receive, which is very useful, since you will have to fight enemies mainly at short distances.
