In Genshin Impact Multidirectional Connection Control Drive Valve is a special mechanism for opening doors in the Meropid Fortress. With it, you can unlock four passages leading to rooms with various treasures. In this guide we will tell you where this device is located and how to solve all the puzzles associated with it.

Where to find the drive valve in Meropid Fortress

For the first time in the story, you will encounter him as part of a world quest "Scenes from Life in Meropide: Safe Operation", however, at this point you will not be able to open all available passages. In addition, you can come to him much earlier. To do this, move to the administrative floor (here is the coupon canteen) of the underwater prison and go west to the elevator that moves down - this will take you to the “Production Area: Lower Level”.

Now run to the north of the location and enter the elevator next to the teleporter to go down to the "Abandoned Manufacturing Site". Go forward along the tunnel until you find yourself in a round room, in the center of which the drive valve is located.

Solving Actuated Valve Puzzles

In fact, there is nothing complicated about his work. On the dial you can see several hands: one main and up to three secondary. To open a particular door, you need to stop the movement of the mechanism at the moment when the arrows are opposite each other and at the same time pointing in the direction where the passage is located.

The location of the gear drives should also be taken into account. There are three of them in total, and you can remove the unnecessary two gears, and place the third on the side in which the door you need is located.

Note: If your arrows do not match, try logging out of your account and re-logging in. The mechanism will reset, allowing you to start solving the puzzle again. You can also experiment with the arrangement of the gear drives, that is, remove them, start the mechanism, and then return them to their place.

Passage to equipment warehouse No. 1 (east)

You will need to unlock it during the mission "Safety". There we examined in detail the solution to this riddle, so here we will only show what the mechanism should look like before starting, and where the arrows should point.

If you have already been in that room before, then there is no need to open the doors again, since you still won’t find anything interesting inside (unless you forgot to take the mora from the box the first time and examine the point of interest).

Passage to the geode mine shaft (north)

You will have to unlock it when completing the task "An Eye for an Eye", when you try to get into the geode mine. In the article on the quest, we looked in detail at solving this riddle, so here we will only show what the mechanism should look like before starting, and where the arrows should point.

Again, if you have already been to the desired cave, then it is not necessary to open the door to it again. Plus, you probably already have a teleportation point activated there.

Passage to energy storage warehouse (west)

So, place the Gear Drivetrain on the west side of the dial as shown in the picture below. Then start the mechanism and stop it when both hands are facing each other, thereby creating a pointer pointing northwest. Let us note once again that if the arrows still do not match, we advise you to simply exit the game and re-enter so that everything returns to the standard position.

Then go through the opened passage and enter a small room with another gear drive. Start the terminal and stop the mechanism when the arrow on it points towards the closed door ahead. Enter the small room and open the luxurious chest.

Now pick up the portable energy storage device, which is already charged (turquoise), and return to the main hall. To do this, you will need to turn the Gear Drivetrain towards the corresponding door.

Passage to equipment warehouse No. 2 (south)

Start the mechanism again and stop it when the main arrow points due south, as shown in the gif below.

Next, remove the Gear Drivetrain and place it in the southeast slot, as demonstrated in the first screenshot below. Then start the device and immediately stop it, as the arrows will converge with each other and you will open the southern passage.

After going into a small room, start the next mechanism and wait until the arrow points to the closed door ahead in order to open it. Move on, but before that, do not forget to collect the contents of the amazing chest on the left side - in it you will find a blueprint for the decorative item “Mallow Wood Commodity Box (Strong)”.

Upon entering the new room, you will find a lonely punching bag. Place the previously selected energy storage device next to it, and then hit the pear. As a result, a regular chest will appear near it, in which you will find 30 premium coupons.
