In Genshin Impact the riddle in the Hydro Cube with the fairy and energy storage devices in the Ruins of the Central Laboratory is one of Fontaine's puzzles, the solution of which will allow you to get a precious chest. Where is the puzzle in the water cube?
Travel to the teleport located in the Ruins of the Central Laboratory, which is located on the territory of the Institute of Kinetic Energy. We talked about how to unlock this teleportation point in the quest guide "The Fontaine Research Institute, Stagnating in the Rubble" (This can be done without completing the task).
After teleporting, immediately jump off the cliff and, while gliding down, turn around to fly inside a huge cube made of water.
Where to find a fairy
Go upstairs to the scarlet prankster and take the ability from the xenochrome jellyfish (hit it with LMB). Hold down the "E" key, aim at the red flower and release the button to release a bomb at the plant. Then use the E-shka again to destroy the buds and reveal a secret area where you will find a fairy garden. Now we need to find the spirit.
Look down and you will see a fairy floating at the bottom. Swim up to it and then start following this creature. The spirit will swim up to a piece of the wall, which will be surrounded on all sides by a blue barrier. To get around it, you need to swim into the small hole on the side of the wall, as shown in the screenshots below.
Then the fairy will float up and fly off a stone with blue cracks. Destroy the cobblestone with the E-Shki (shoot a bomb and detonate it). Continue following the spirit until it is behind the barrier.
How to remove barriers
To do this, swim back, go around the wall and interact with the terminal. Point the camera at the charged drive (turquoise) and press “Enter” to take its energy. Now point the lens at the turquoise light bulb below to change the angle.
You need to change the angle again by pointing the camera at the farthest light bulb on the left side (look at the first screenshot below). Next, look at the red energy storage device in the distance through the crack and press “Enter”. You can exit camera mode.
Swim under the ruins on which the terminal stands and find the power unit there: ushii (purple ball). Pick it up and go back to the console. There is a pneuma energy accumulator next to it - hit it with an usia to charge it.
Switch back to the viewfinder mode and again select the far left bulb to get the desired angle. Now take the energy from the newly charged storage device and transfer it to the batteries on the left. This will remove the barriers and allow you to continue accompanying the fairy.
Bring the spirit to the house, and you will finally be able to take the contents of the precious chest.
