Mysterious Shards in Assassin's Creed Mirage: How to Find and Use

    Zorthrus

In Assassin's Creed Mirage Mysterious shards are special items, the collection of which allows you to unlock chests in the ancient hall and obtain legendary equipment: Samsaam's dagger, Shamsher-i Zumarrudnigar sword and Milad's costume. In this guide, we'll tell you where to find these gizmos and exactly how to use them.

How to start searching for mysterious shards

Before you can start collecting Mysterious Shards, you will need to activate a job called "The Call" or "Nihal's Possession." To do this, you need to complete the previous missions: “My Old Home” and “Old Wounds”.

Note: Apparently, it is possible to obtain fragments even before receiving this case. The main thing is to meet the right people on the streets of Baghdad.

All the mysterious shards are in the possession of elite members of the Order (people in black robes), who are often accompanied by several guards. They all follow predetermined routes, so indicating their exact location is often problematic - we will show the areas in which you can find them.

Plus, these NPCs will show up on your map when you get close to them, making them easier to find. Remember to summon the eagle in the marked areas and watch for yellow or white beams of light to appear, indicating unknown items that you can collect.

You can take the mysterious fragment in two ways: attack a member of the order and his guards, or try to steal the thing secretly. The second option is preferable, since these characters often roam crowded streets, so attacking them can attract the city guards to you and increase your wanted level.

To successfully carry out a pickpocket, we advise you to use the services of nearby musicians or artists who will distract the guards while you steal the stone. Let’s add that none of the fragments can be missed, that is, you can start looking for them even after completing the main plot.

Where to find all the mysterious shards

In total, you can find 10 mysterious fragments. You can get most of them on the streets of Baghdad. The map below shows their approximate locations. Next we will tell you in more detail how to get them.

    Mysterious Shard 1

    • Region: Harbia

Can be picked up from an old man in black clothes walking with a couple of guards southeast of the Upper Port. He constantly moves around the marked area, so be sure to use the eagle to find him and tag him.

    Mysterious Shard 2

    • Region: Harbia

You can steal from the black-robed man who usually walks from the Damascus Gate Prison to the bridge west of the Damascus Gate. He will be accompanied by only one guard.

    Mysterious Shard 3

    • Region: Abbasiya

This elite member of the Order usually travels from the Scriptorium to the Four Markets and back. He always passes along the bridge, so you can watch for him there. Sometimes he goes behind the Scriptorium (both places are shown in the pictures below). If you are lucky, the taabin will be unguarded.

    Mysterious Shard 4

    • Region: Abbasiya

This member of the Order usually walks from the gate near the Wise Manor to the bridge located in the south. Look for him in this area using the eagle. He will be accompanied by one guard.

    Mysterious Shard 5

    • Region: Karkh

Usually this elite member of the Order walks in the Tabik area, near the Bazaar. However, he can go down much further south and reach the Monastery of the Virgins, so check all the surrounding areas if you can't find him in the area we marked. Taabin will be guarded by one person.

    Mysterious Shard 6

    • Region: Karkh

The NPC you need usually walks near the Warehouse with Detained Goods and Al-Midhana Al-Atiqi. However, he can reach the Port Camp in the northeast. If you are lucky, no one will guard it.

    Mysterious Shard 7

    • Region: Round City

The required character can be found northwest of the Basra Gate. At the same time, he usually goes in their direction, and then turns west. In this case, it can be found south of the Harem. The pictures below show both locations. The elite member of the Order is accompanied by two bodyguards, so be careful.

    Mysterious Shard 8

    • Region: Round City

It can be found with an old man in black robes walking east of the Damascus Gate. Taabin is guarded by one fighter.

    Mysterious Shard 9

    • Region: Baghdad area

Can be picked up from an elite member of the Order walking around Jarjaray or its environs. He is accompanied by two fighters, so proceed carefully.

    Mysterious Shard 10

    • Region: Baghdad area

Can be picked up from a man in black clothes who is wandering in the western part of Anbar. He will be accompanied by two fighters, but this area is not very crowded, so you can try to kill them in open battle.

    How to use Mystery Shards

Where to find the hidden place

After obtaining all 10 Mysterious Shards, travel to the Northern Oasis, located in the Northern Outskirts of Baghdad east of Anbar (starting city). Then use the eagle to find the secret entrance in the center of the pond. Dive into the water and swim into the hole below. Swim to the bottom and look for a passage into an underwater cave.

Swim through the tunnel until the very end until you can surface again. Run forward, climb over the obstacle and climb into the narrow gap. Go to the other side, jumping on the ledges, and go into another hole covered with cobwebs. Climb through the hole ahead and you will finally reach the Ancient Hall.

Here you will find three pedestals into which you need to insert mysterious fragments. You need to place 2 fragments in the first of them to get the legendary dagger of Samsaam. Its characteristics are shown in the screenshot below.

3 fragments should be placed in the second pedestal. As a result, you will be able to get the legendary sword Shamsher-i Zumarrudnigar, which significantly increases the damage done, sacrificing the character's health.

You need to install 5 shards on the last pedestal to get the legendary Milad costume, which gives the Forgotten Horror perk. With it, you can cause lightning flashes when quickly killing enemies in the air.

Let's add that as soon as you place all 10 fragments in the pedestals, the “Call” task will be immediately completed.
