Where to find the thanator (uncut)
Let us immediately note that tanators that are encountered during tasks are considered cut off, and therefore are not taken into account by the game when opening the above trophy. So you will have to look for a special beast in the open world. To do this, head to the Transparent Lakes (Gossamer Lakes), located in the Moth Forest region.
The desired point is located in the Shadow Forest in the Big Leaf biome. The exact location is shown in the screenshots above. When you find yourself in the marked place, you should hear your heartbeat, and the monitor screen will turn white on the sides. Now start walking in the direction where your heart begins to beat faster and louder.
Soon you will hear a loud roar, and a huge black beast will appear behind you, which will immediately attack you. If, after passing through the indicated area, you still do not hear a heartbeat, then try teleporting to another region, and then return and try to find the thanator again.
How to defeat thanator (uncut)
This monster is level 20, so even in the middle of the game we do not advise you to go hunting for it. On low difficulty, your character must be at least level 16 in order for you to have any chance of winning. As a rule, the hero reaches such values after completing the main storyline.
Before you start searching for this beast, we advise you to be well prepared by taking enough food for healing and upgrading your weapons. It is best to use a bow and aim at the animal's head. Try to fully draw the string before firing, but you can also try releasing the arrows straight away.
If you cannot defeat the beast in direct combat, then you can cheat a little. In the indicated location there are several ledges. You can climb onto one of them using a power-up jump and quickly shoot the enemy from above before he can reach you. Be careful, as the thanator jumps quite high, so it can hit you mid-jump if you stand close to the edge of the ledge.
Once you've dealt with the Uncut Thanator, be sure to interact with it to obtain valuable materials for crafting great gear.
