In Palworld Pals are your main companions. In total, there are more than a hundred creatures in the game that you can tame. Each of them has its own characteristics and parameters, its own “character” and habitats. At the beginning of the game, the “Encyclopedia of Fires” (the list of all creatures) is empty, and it is quite difficult to figure out which Fires are the most useful.

Our guide will help you figure out how to catch Pals and which Pals will be useful to you in the early stages of the game.

    Catching Pals in Palworld

    How to use the Pal-sphere

To catch the Pal you like, you need to reduce his health to a minimum. Then click "Q" and aim at the creature. By holding the button, you can see the chance of catching.

Then aim at Pal and release the button. The lower the creature's health, the higher the chance of its capture.

Typically most successful Fires are caught with HP approximately less than 30%. You can increase this chance in several ways:

    • Sneak up.
    • Lure into a trap.

You can take risks and catch Pals without reducing their health or reducing it slightly. But remember that after Pal pops out of the Pal Sphere, the ball will disappear and you will have to throw a new one.

Total can travel with you up to five Pals. If all the cells for your companions are filled, then the caught Pals are automatically sent to the base in the “Container for Pals”.

How to catch Palov more effectively

Some Pals, such as Lifmanka, are not so easy to catch. He does not engage in battle, but runs away, and it is quite difficult to catch him without driving him into a corner or trap. For such cases, there is a bow early in the game that will allow you to reduce Pal's health at a distance.

Over time, higher-level Pals will become more and more difficult to catch with a regular Pal-sphere. In this case it will be useful for you "Megasphere", which you can find in chests scattered around the world. And it can only be made from the 14th technology level.

How to Summon a Captured Pal

You can only summon one Pal. Press the key "E" and select the place where you want to summon Pal.

To remove it, also press the key "E".

How to care for and treat Pals

Your Pals have several scales that determine their condition.

    Health points and satiety

Having been injured in battle, Pal heals on his own, but rather slowly. Feeding Pal will help speed up this process. Your pets must be fed, otherwise they will simply stop working. You can do this:

    • Through inventory. Only Pals traveling with you can be fed this way. Select the item you want to feed Pal and right-click. You will see a menu of targets to apply.
    • Via the shortcut menu on the key "4". Select “Feed.”

    Reason

If Pal works for a long time at the base and does not rest (or he does not have a place to rest), then his Sanity level decreases. This means that Pal will work worse and worse.

You can keep Pals in optimal condition by hand feeding, as described above, or using a feeder. Pals come to it on their own, but you need to regularly replenish it with food.

    Disease

This is Pal’s negative state, which affects his performance. All types of diseases are treated with medicines that are manufactured in "Medieval pharmaceutical table". It is only learned at technology level 12, but sometimes you can buy medicine for your Pals from traveling merchants.

    Revitalization of Pal

If your Pal died for some reason, you can resurrect him by putting him in "Container for Pals" It will take 10 minutes to resurrect him.

Best Pals to start the game

In our guide for beginners We have already touched on the topic of the best Pals for the early stages. Of course, Chikipi, Lamboll and Kattiva are good workers and fighters, but none of them know how, for example, to cut down a tree or water berry plantations. Therefore, without Palov specially adapted for this, you will have to do the routine at the base yourself.

Let's take a closer look at which Pals will be most useful at the start of the game.

Despite the fact that the habitats of Pals are indicated on the map, sometimes they may not be there. Therefore, if you cannot find the desired Pal, explore the world further and return to the habitat after a while.

    Lifmank

Since none of the starting Pals can cut down trees, Lifmank will do an excellent job with this task at first. Lifmank can also sow berry plantations and help with manual work. These advantages make it a very profitable pet, unlike, for example, Humoss, which has only one useful function in the household.

    Pengullet

Pengullet will be useful for cultivating crops on a berry plantation as it can water the berries.

    Foxpark

Foxpark on the farm is only suitable for lighting fires, but in battle it will become an excellent partner, since it has good damage. In addition, you can make a hand flamethrower from it by studying it at technology level 6 "Equipment Workbench for Pals" And "Harness for Pal Foxpark".

    Rushoar

Rushoar is located quite far from the starting island, so you should only pay attention to it if you make long forays to other islands.

Rushoar is useful both in battle, he has good damage, and in farming - he does an excellent job of mining stone. Rushoara can also be ridden at the 6th technology level. We will discuss horse riding on Palakh below.

    Iktirdir

This Pal is even better at cutting down trees than Lifmank. But catching him is much more difficult, since Iktirdirs, as a rule, walk in pairs, and the fight with them is quite difficult. They have high damage, so it is worth going hunting for Iktirdirs at least at level 7.

This Pal can be saddled, but it will take 12th technology level to examine the saddle for Irktirdir.

You will get the first 6-7 levels of technology without problems in a short time, but then you will have to equip the base with new buildings, catch more and more Pals and study the world of the game in order to level up faster. The travel points are located quite far from each other, and in order to quickly get to the desired place, it is worth acquiring the first riding Pal.

    Melpaca

Melpaca will do an excellent job of this task and make traveling around the world easier. But in order to ride Pal, you will first also need to make "Equipment Workbench for Pals", and at the 7th technology level study "Saddle for Pal Melpak."

    How to ride Palov mounts

In the future, you will be able to tame more riding, flying and swimming Pals, but each of them will require its own special item that allows you to move on horseback. For example, as mentioned above, for Melpaca you will need "Saddle for Pal Melpak".

To mount Pal, you first need to summon him using the key "E". And then, standing near Pal, hold down the key "F".

Mounted Pals have special attacks. For example, Melpaca has a ranged attack and a charge towards the enemy. They can also speed up if you hold down the key "Shift".

We hope our guide helped you learn how to catch Pals in Palworld and which Pals will make the best companions at the beginning of the game.
