In Palworld incubators are buildings designed for breeding Palov from eggs. Using this structure, you can get a pet from an egg found or produced by your creatures.
The incubation process is not as simple as it might seem at first glance. During breeding, there is a possibility of encountering some problems. For example, the baby may become too cold in the incubator and this will delay the hatching time.
In this guide we will tell you how to create incubators, where to get eggs, and how to make the conditions for them as comfortable as possible.
How to open an incubator in Palworld
Having reached level seven, you can open an incubator for ancient technology points (they can be obtained by defeating bosses).
Like all buildings, the apparatus for breeding Palov is located in the “Technology” menu.
To create it you will need ten palsium fragments, five units of fabric, thirty stones and two parts of ancient civilizations.
The first two resources are not difficult to find - you can simply pick them up from the ground while exploring the game world. You can also extract these materials from deposits using a pickaxe.
Cloth can be obtained from wool (dropped by Lamboll and Kremis) using a workbench.
The Ancient Civilization Details are easiest to obtain from the Chilleth boss. The map below shows its location.
After all the necessary items have been collected, go to the construction menu, select the incubator and place it on its base.
How to use the incubator
The process of breeding Palov is quite simple. Open your inventory, select the egg and move it to the incubator. After this, you will see a timer counting down the time it will take to hatch the cub.
You will also see a bar indicating how favorable conditions are for hatching. It is this parameter that affects the speed of incubation.
How to increase the comfort level in the incubator
Depending on the type, the eggs require different conditions for the hatchlings to develop more quickly. For example, moist eggs need coolness, unlike eggs that exude heat, which, on the contrary, need warmer conditions.
If you create the most suitable environment for the eggs in the incubator, you will see an inscription that the conditions in the apparatus are very comfortable, and the hatching rate will increase by 100%.
In order to ensure optimal temperature in the incubator, it is best to build at least two such devices. Place one in the house, and the second on the street. This way it will be cool in one building and warm in the other.
You can also place a heat source near the incubator to increase the temperature. A fire or flame heater will do. And in order to make the incubator cooler, you can install a cooler nearby.
Please note that the heater will become available at level 17, and the cooler at level 13. In order for them to work without your participation, it is necessary to ensure the presence of Pals at the base, capable of activating these buildings.
After the required amount of time has passed, you will need to complete the hatching using the "F" key. This way you will have a new creature.
How to get eggs
There are two ways to get eggs - find them and hatch them yourself. To search, use interactive map, where you can find out the exact location of objects (in the settings, select “Egg”). As a rule, the eggs simply lie on the ground and are not protected in any way.
The second method will become available at level 19. It is at this level that the “Date Pasture” building opens.
How to cross Palov
By crossing Pals, you can get creatures of a certain type or pets that are impossible or extremely difficult to catch. For example, you can get Anubis or Lunaris using this method.
To crossbreed, you must place a dating pasture, a cauldron (opens at level 17), a mill and a wheat plantation (opens at level 15) at your base.
The last three buildings will be needed to create cakes, without which it will not be possible to reproduce creatures.
To make the cakes, you will need five units of flour (prepared at the wheat mill), eight red berries (can be collected at the berry farm), seven units of milk (provided by Mozzarin), eight eggs (provided by Chiquipi) and two units of honey (provided by Bigard).
Once you have built the pasture and have some cake available, open the Palami container and move the mixed-sex creatures to the dating pasture. Place a cake in the box next to it and after some time you will have an egg that can be sent to the incubator.
All types of eggs in Palworld
The types of eggs in the game correspond to the elements of Palov. For each of them, one of three size options is possible: normal (found most often, hatches quite quickly), large (can be found less frequently than usual, hatching time is longer) or huge (found extremely rarely, very long incubation period).
Below you can see all the types of eggs in the game.
