What types of keys are there in Palworld?
There are three types of keys in the game: gold, silver and bronze.
All rare chests (they, like keys, are gold, silver and bronze) can only be opened using these keys.
If you do not have the required key with you, we recommend marking the location of the found chest on the map so that you can return to it later.
Bronze, silver and gold chests contain more valuable rewards than regular ones. Moreover, the best loot is found in gold.
They are all marked with a reddish glow, and when you are near a chest, a prompt will appear indicating which key is required to open it.
Where to find bronze keys
There are several ways to acquire a bronze key.
Firstly, this type of key can fall out of a regular chest, although this does not happen very often. Similar chests are scattered throughout world map. They differ from rare ones by a yellowish or purple glow.
Secondly, there is a chance to receive bronze keys for defeating enemies participating in a raid on your base. Most often, these items drop from Lizpunk.
And the last way to get a bronze key is to defeat or capture Lizpunk by attacking him yourself. The map below shows the habitat of these creatures - the southern region of the Vulcan biome.
Bronze keys can be used to open bronze chests.
Where to find silver keys
Like bronze, silver keys can be found in regular chests, knocked out from enemies attacking your base, and also obtained from Lizpunk or Lizpunk Ignis. Enemies can be killed or captured, either way you will receive the key.
Lizpunk Ignis can be found in the east of the Vulcan biome.
Silver keys can be used to open silver chests.
Where to find golden keys
Golden keys, like chests, are the least common in the game. There is only one way to get this item - to win battles with underground traders.
You will need to be well prepared, as these are quite strong opponents who, as a rule, fight with assistants.
Defeating each merchant will give you three golden keys at once.
Using the golden key, you can open the golden chest.
