In Palworld The characteristics of a character are his main attributes, on which the hero’s effectiveness in performing certain tasks depends. Some of the parameters are more important for pumping than others.
In this guide, we will tell you exactly which characteristics should be upgraded first of all for a character, as well as whether they can be reset, and how to do it.

The best parameters for pumping
The main character can be upgraded to a maximum of 50 level. Each time you level up, you will receive stat points, which can be spent on increasing parameters in the inventory menu. The progression of attribute values and their maximum values are shown in the table below.

Your Pals will do most of the work in battles and gathering materials, so only a few stats are worthy of your attention, especially in the later stages of the game. Let us immediately note that these include Stamina and Weight, as they greatly simplify the transfer of objects and exploration of the world.
These options will also make it easier for you to move across rough terrain, fight bosses (you'll be able to dodge more often and change weapons faster), and manage your base (which is an important part of the gameplay). Next, we will look at each characteristic separately and tell you why exactly it is needed.
Weight
We advise you to invest some of your stat points into it at the very beginning of the game, since you will spend most of the time setting up your first base. At the same time, there will not be many buildings in the camp, and there will be restrictions on the number of Pals who can work here. This way, you won't be able to rely heavily on the Pals to gather resources and produce items.
Continue increasing the Weight until you no longer feel pressured by the Palam limits. After that, you can start increasing another parameter. If you urgently need to increase your character’s carrying capacity, then we advise you to simply find Pals who can increase this indicator. For example, you can add to a squad Cattivo or Broncherry.
Endurance
By investing points in this parameter, you will increase the character's stamina bar, allowing him to perform more actions related to exploring locations, such as running fast, climbing rocks, or using a glider.
All physical actions performed by the hero depend on stamina, from dodging attacks to collecting materials. Plus, it is spent on swinging weapons or tools. For this reason, we strongly advise you to level up this stat.
OZ (Health)
The next most important characteristic after the previous two, since although you will mostly stay away from enemies, entrusting close combat to your Pals, opponents can still target you, hitting you 1-2 times. It is advisable that you be able to survive them. This requires increased health.
However, again, you should only upgrade it if you no longer have problems with Weight or Stamina, since if necessary, you can simply increase your defense by using shields and stronger armor.
Operation speed
By increasing this parameter, you can reduce the time required to manufacture items and construct objects at the base, as well as collect materials.
At first glance, this attribute may seem very useful, but in reality, most of the work in the camp will be performed by your Pals, so the character’s own work speed will not be very important. This characteristic will be useful only at the beginning of the game, where you have to do most of the things yourself.
Attack
It increases the damage the player inflicts on enemies. Upgrade last, since the main damage will still be done by your Pals. Plus, instead of increasing this characteristic, it will be much more effective to simply acquire a more powerful weapon.
In addition, the increase in the parameter is small - only +2 points. So increase it on a residual basis. Perhaps it will be useful in the future, when the game has a full-fledged PvP mode with battles between players without the use of Pals.
How to reset stats in Palworld
If you have just now read our guide and upgraded your character’s parameters that he does not need, then you can easily reset the characteristics. To do this, you will need a Memory Cleansing Potion. Using it, you can also customize your character for certain tasks, for example, if you need to farm resources, then invest everything in Stamina and Weight, and before the battle with the boss you can transfer all the points into Health, Defense and Attack.
So, first of all, you will need to open the Electric Pharmacist's Table (access to it is unlocked only at level 43) and install it on the base. Then interact with him and in the recipe selection menu, click on the desired drug. To produce it you will need x50 horns, x50 bones, x99 beautiful flowers and x50 Pala bodily fluid.
You can start making the drug yourself (it will take a lot of time) or entrust this task to Pal with a high Drug Production score. After creating the elixir, open your inventory, right-click on it and select your character. After this, you can redistribute his characteristics.
