In Palworld flying Pals are a separate type of creatures with which you can move through the air, which makes exploring the world much easier. There are many similar creatures, but not all of them can boast of high speed and useful effects.
In this guide we will tell you who is the fastest flyer Palom in the game, and also tell you which flying creatures are best to use at a specific character level, and where they can be found.
TOP fastest flying Palov
As we noted above, all flying “Pokemon” differ from each other in flight speed, so among them there are both good and mediocre specimens. We have compiled an approximate rating of these creatures, dividing them into the following groups:
- SS - This includes the fastest Pals in the game, which are unmatched when it comes to flight speed. In addition, they have quite useful skills.
- S – This includes some of the fastest Pals you can find in the game. You may well opt for them if you are not chasing maximum speed.
- A are good options for the middle game, with which you can explore new surroundings relatively quickly, but at a later stage it is better to replace them with S- and SS-level creatures.
- B - relatively slow Pals that will only be useful to you in the early and mid game. At the same time, already in the middle game you should start looking for more interesting examples.
- C - the slowest flying Pals, which are recommended to be used only at an early stage. Then we advise you to quickly change them to faster creatures.
The table below shows the ranking of all flying Pals in Palworld today. Let us note once again that they are grouped precisely by flight speed, that is, their other characteristics and skills were not taken into account. We advise you to choose a mount based on this list.
Rank | Pal |
---|---|
SS |
Jetragon |
S |
Frostallion Frostallion Noct |
A |
Shadowbeak Faleris Raybird Raghnahawk |
B |
Halzephyr Suzaku Suzaku Aqua Bezels |
C |
Nightwing Vanwyrm Vanwyrm Crist Elfidran Elphidran Aqua Astegon |
How to choose the best Pal depending on the level
Although Jetragon is the fastest mount in the game, we are talking about the legendary Pal, who is not only extremely difficult to catch, but also to saddle, because he requires the creation of a special saddle, which opens only at 50 character level. For this reason, we decided to show which Pals are best used at which stage of the game:
Stage of the game | Pala |
---|---|
Early |
Nightwing (saddle unlocks at level 15) Vanwyrm (saddle unlocks at level 21) |
Average |
Raybird (saddle unlocks at level 34) Ragnahawk (saddle unlocks at level 37) |
Late |
Frostallion (saddle unlocks at level 48) Jetragon (saddle unlocks at level 50) |
Flying Pals in Palworld
As for catching flying Pals, it is practically no different from catching other creatures, which we examined in detail in separate guide. Unless you definitely can’t do without long-range weapons in this case.
Next, we will look at each flying Pal individually, indicating their characteristics, special skills, type and habitat. Their rank is based on flight speed rather than combat or mundane skills, so for example, while Astegon is at the bottom of the list, he is still an extremely powerful fighter who is also great for mining.
Nightwing
- Type: Regular
- Rank (speed): C
- Required level to unlock saddle: 15th
Most likely, he will be your first flying mount, since he is quite easy to find (he also lives in the starting location) and catch, and relatively few materials are required to make the saddle. Dark attacks work best against him, so we advise you to take Daedrim to fight him, who can also be caught almost at the very beginning.
Vanwyrm
- Type: Fire and Darkness
- Rank (speed): C
- Required level to unlock saddle: 21st
Although most of them live on the Obsidian Volcano, some can be caught not far from the starting area - near the Entrance to the Gorge. He is vulnerable to water and dragon attacks.
We advise you to switch to him from Nightwing as soon as you have a similar opportunity, since he is a little faster and gives the player a small bonus - it increases the damage from attacks on the enemy’s weak points.
Vanwyrm Crist
- Type: Ice and Darkness
- Rank (speed): C
- Required level to unlock saddle: 41st
A distant relative of the previous Pal, who lives in the Permafrost Lands in the north, and can only be encountered at night. Fire and dragon fighters are best suited against him. We do not recommend that you use it as a mount, since you will only be able to get it closer to the late stage of the game, where you will have a choice of much faster creatures.
Elfidran
- Type: Dragon
- Rank (speed): C
- Required level to unlock saddle: 21st
In terms of speed, it is inferior to Vanwyrm, and is obtained only in the reserve, where hunting for Pals is prohibited by law. For this reason, we do not advise you to use it as a mount. However, it has a rather interesting skill - when active, it increases the number of trophies dropped by creatures of the Darkness element. So it is recommended to take it on the hunt for such creatures.
The fastest way to defeat Elphidran is with ice attacks, as he is extremely vulnerable to them.
Elphidran Aqua
- Type: Dragon and Water
- Rank (speed): C
- Required level to unlock saddle: 28th
A little faster than its regular counterpart, however, it is impossible to find it in the open world - to get it you need to cross Serfent and Elphidran in the dating pasture. Pal is also not very good as a mount, but it is recommended to take him when hunting fire creatures, since in this case they will drop more trophies.
Astegon
- Type: Dragon and Darkness
- Rank (speed): C
- Required level to unlock saddle: 47th
In the open world, you can only find it in a nature reserve located far to the east, and it is quite difficult to catch it, therefore, it will be much easier to simply get it by crossing.
It is better not to use it as a mount, as it flies extremely slowly. Its main purpose is to simplify the extraction of minerals, because it significantly increases the damage to ore deposits. Plus, he has pretty good fighting qualities.
Bezels
- Type: Dragon
- Rank (speed): B
- Required level to unlock saddle: 36th
This beautiful little dragon can be found on the territory of the western reserve, so try not to catch the eye of law enforcement if you decide to go hunting for it (also take ice Pals with you).
As a mount it is quite mediocre, since at this stage you can find more interesting “Pokemon”, however, Fask is not bad as a combat unit, as it increases the damage of dragon attacks. We recommend taking him into your team when you plan to fight creatures of the Dark element.
Halzephyr
- Type: Dark
- Rank (speed): B
- Required level to unlock saddle: 33rd
Can be a good Pal mount option in the middle game until you get Raybird or Ragnahawk. The fact is that it is not much inferior to them in speed, and it can be found not far from the starting location (you only need to search at night). Dragon-type fighters should be hired to catch him.
Let’s add that Halzephyr is also good because it is able to impart the power of its element (Darkness) to the player’s attacks. So he is an ideal candidate to add to the party when it comes to hunting down common Palami.
Suzaku
- Type: Fire
- Rank (speed): B
- Required level to unlock saddle: 40th
It can be found on the eastern desert island, and it is recommended to use water-type fighters to catch it. However, he is definitely not suitable for the role of a mount, since in terms of movement speed he is almost identical to Halzephyr. At this stage of the game, you can easily acquire faster Pokemon.
Its main use is fighting Ice and Nature-type Pals, as it is able to enhance any fire attacks, even if they are carried out from your fire crossbow.
Suzaku Aqua
- Type: Water
- Rank (speed): B
- Required level to unlock saddle: 43rd
In terms of speed, it is identical to the regular Suzaku, so it is also not recommended for use as a vehicle. You won't be able to find this Pal in the open world - you can get it by crossing Suzaku and Yormuntide. Strengthens water attacks, making it ideal for hunting fire creatures.
Shadowbeak
- Type: Dark
- Rank (speed): A
- Required level to unlock saddle: 47th
An excellent fighting Pal, which can be found in the far eastern reserve, although he appears there quite rarely. Excellent for destroying ordinary creatures. Dragon type attacks work well against him. Able to enhance attacks with Darkness.
As a mount, he is not so good, because in terms of speed he is inferior to the Pals described below, but at the same time he will be able to saddle him much later, since the saddle for him opens closer to the end of the game.
Faleris
- Type: Fire
- Rank (speed): A
- Required level to unlock saddle: 38th
A fairly fast Pal, which can be used in the middle game, but it is quite difficult to get (much more difficult than Raybird and Ragnahavka), since it lives in a distant protected area. Be sure to take aquatic creatures into your squad to hunt him, as they will deal increased damage to him.
Even if you don't plan to fly Faleris, we still recommend you pick it up for your collection, as it can increase the number of trophies dropped from Ice-type Pals.
Raybird
- Type: Zipper
- Rank (speed): A
- Required level to unlock saddle: 34th
An excellent mount for the middle game, Pal has a relatively high flight speed and can be found in an area free for catching creatures - he spawns in the desert zone in the east. In addition, the saddle for him is obtained earlier than for other Pals of rank A. Ground attacks work best against him.
In addition, Raybird is well suited for fighting aquatic creatures, as it imbues the player's attacks with an electrical element. Plus, it is capable of generating energy, so it can be used on base to run factory conveyors.
Raghnahawk
- Type: Fire
- Rank (speed): A
- Required level to unlock saddle: 37th
It is a kind of fire version of Raybird, as it has the same flight speed, and instead of lightning, it gives the player's attacks a fire element. Raghnahawks are quite common on the Obsidian Volcano, so there shouldn’t be any problems finding and catching them (the main thing is to take water “Pokémon” with you).
Frostallion
- Type: Ice
- Rank (speed): S
- Required level to unlock saddle: 48th
We are talking about an extremely powerful Alpha Pale, which spawns only in one place (-354, 509) - on the northern peninsula, west of Permafrost Land. To catch him you will need the most powerful fire fighters and good equipment.
But once you catch it, you will have at your disposal not only one of the fastest “Pokémon” in the game, but also an extremely powerful combat unit that is ideal for destroying dragon-type enemies. The fact is that Frostallion is able to imbue the player’s attacks with an ice element and immediately strengthen them.
Frostallion Noct
- Type: Dark
- Rank (speed): S
- Required level to unlock saddle: 48th
Identical to the previous Pal, but instead of ice, it imbues the player's attacks with Darkness and enhances them. Has the same flight speed. It is impossible to find it in the open world - you can get it by crossing Frostallion with Halzephyr.
Jetragon
- Type: Dragon
- Rank (speed): SS
- Required level to unlock saddle: 50th
Another extremely dangerous Alpha Pal, which spawns only in one place (-784, -322) - in the western part of the Obsidian Volcano. To catch him, you should take your strongest ice Pals (Frostallion, by the way, would be a good choice). You will also need to be well prepared by wearing strong armor and taking powerful weapons.
If you manage to catch him, you will have the fastest Pal in the game, which can instantly take you to almost any location. In addition, Jetragon is an excellent fighter, as he is capable of continuous fire from a rocket launcher.
At this point in time, these are all the flying Pals that can be found and caught in Palworld. We hope that our guide will help you choose the fastest mount among them.
