In Palworld Companion skills are special abilities that everyone has Pal. Some of them can significantly increase the combat potential of a “Pokemon,” while others can increase its performance at the base or the amount of loot dropped. In this guide, we'll identify the best partner skills and tell you how you can get them.
Palworld Companion Skills
These abilities usually involve combined actions and attacks carried out jointly by Pal and the player. These can range from allowing the hero to use a creature as a mount to turning a pet into a unique weapon such as a flamethrower.
Some Pals will have their companion skills locked; to unlock them you will need to carry out certain research in the “Technology” section. It's about unlocking harnesses or saddles for specific creatures. So you have to download level to unlock all abilities.
Let's add that these skills are tied to Palams, that is, they cannot be removed or changed. For this reason, if you need this or that skill, you will have to catch the corresponding creature. All existing companion skills can be viewed in our Palam guide. Below we will look at their best options.
Best Companion Combat Skills
Elemental Infusion and Elemental Attack Enhancement
- Skill Name: Ice Pegasus and Dark Pegasus
- Pals: Frostallion and Frostallion Noct
The best combat ability, thanks to which these creatures are able to not only change the character’s attack type to Ice or Darkness, but also strengthen them at the same time. In addition, they will increase their own damage. For this reason, we highly recommend that you acquire these Swords and use them when fighting Dragon-type and Normal-type enemies.
Riding Pals with weapons
- Skill Name: Yellow Armor, Aerial Rockets, Whistling Rockets, Rocket Fun and Panda Grenade Launcher
- Pals: Grizzbolt, Jetragon, Relaxaurus, Relaxaurus Lux, Mossanda and Mossanda Lux
Not only will you be able to ride these Pals, but you'll also be able to wield powerful weapons, essentially giving them a fourth attack that can be used to deal extra damage.
Elemental Infusion
- Pals: Anubis, Halsefir, Azurob, Verdash, Vixen, Ragnahawk, Raybird, Marait, Pirin Noct, Pirin, Univolt, Chillet and Nox
These creatures are capable of imbuing the player's attacks with their element, and they can be enhanced by buffs from other party members, meaning you can, for example, receive a fire type of damage from Ragnahavka, and then boost it with a bonus from Suzaku.
They also allow you to create a powerful team with three or four Gobfin, whose companion skill increases the character's attack power. As a result, the player will be able to personally deal extremely high damage.
Elemental Damage Boost
- Pals: Shadowbeak, Suzaku Aqua, Suzaku, Yormuntide Ignis, Blazamut, Fask, Dinossum Lax, Dinossum and Greentail
Thanks to these creatures, you can significantly increase your own elemental damage (if it matches the element of Pal), which is extremely effective when you are hunting an enemy that is vulnerable to the selected element.
Player stat boost
- Pals: Menasting, Vorsekt, Verdash, Vanwyrm Crist, Vanwyrm, Robinquill, Robinquill Terra, Gobfin and Gobfin Ignis
These companions have extremely useful skills that can strengthen the character, giving him various buffs, for example, increasing damage dealt to weak points, attack power, movement speed and defense. Plus, some of them can reduce fire damage taken (Vorsect).
Increasing the characteristics of allied Palov
- Pals: Kelpsi, Kelpsi Ignis, Foxycle, Dumad, Ribbani, Bristle, Kremis, Hukrat, Ruby and Sparkit
These creatures, with the help of their skill, are able to increase the attack power of allies with the same element as theirs. They are extremely useful when you are putting together a group of one type to defeat a specific boss.
Best Companion Job Skills
Mining
- Skills and Blades: Crushing Drill (Digtos) and Black Armored Dragon (Astegon)
Digtos makes mining ore deposits much easier, as you don't even need to ride him to deal extra damage to the deposits. Astegon can be a good alternative to it.
Wood extraction
- Skills and Skills: Geo Crusher (Mammorest) and Cry Crusher (Mammorest Crist)
These creatures are some of the best lumberjacks in the game, as they break down trees extremely quickly, but you will have to ride them to take advantage of their skill. You can also use them to mine ore.
Transportation and load capacity
- Skills and Skills: Giant of the Snowy Peaks (Wumpo) and Giant of the Southern Regions (Wumpo Botan)
These creatures are extremely useful to the player when collecting materials, as they not only carry their owner's things while active, but also increase the player's maximum carry weight, allowing him to carry more resources with him.

Increasing drops from Palov
- Pals: Blazehaul Noct (Normal), Katress (Normal), Blazehaul (Nature), Phaleris (Ice), Menasting (Lightning), Vaeleth (Earth), Cryolynx (Dragon), Elphidran (Dark), Penking (Fire), Elphidran Aqua (Fire) and Orserk (Water)
The indicated creatures, if present in the team, increase the likelihood of items dropping from defeated or captured enemies of a certain element (we indicated the elements in parentheses). Thus, we advise you to take these companions when you head out to farm certain "Pokémon".
Increased movement speed
- Pals: Dayhaul, Necromus, Paladius, Jormuntaid, Fenglop, Verdash, Serfent Terra, Serfent, Kitsune, Ryhound, Raindrix, Arsox and Nightwing
These creatures have a skill that increases your movement speed when you sit astride them. The only exception to this list is Verdash, which increases your speed simply by being in the active squad.
These are all the best companion skills in Palworld. We hope that our guide will help you choose the right Palov for certain tasks.
