In Wuthering Waves banners are a special game mechanic (gacha) that allows you to get certain items with an increased probability characters or weapons. This material contains the schedule of all current and future banners. Thanks to this information, you will be able to find out in advance what heroes and equipment the developers will present in the future.

Current temporary banners in Wuthering Waves

Prevail the Lasting Night

As part of it, the probability of dropping Jiyan, which belongs to the Aero element and uses a broad blade (Broadblade) in battle, has been increased. In a team, he can play the role of the main damage dealer, inflicting significant damage to multiple or single targets in a special mode.

• Banner expiration dates: from May 23 to June 12, 2024 17:59 (server time)
• 5-star characters (increased drop rate): Jiyan (Aero, Broad Blade)
• 4-star characters (increased drop rate): Danjin[Danjin] (Havok, sword), Chisya[Chixia] (Fusion, pistols) and Mortefi[Mortefi] (Fusion, pistols)

Weapon banner

Future banners

Information on future banners is taken from leaks published by data miners and insiders, or official statements from developers. You shouldn't trust it 100%, as Kuro Games can change everything at the very last moment. On the other hand, such leaks often turn out to be reliable, so they allow you to save “tides” for your favorite heroes or light cones.

When Thunder Pours

As part of it, the probability of dropping Yin Lin, which belongs to the Electro element and uses a transformer in battle, has been increased. In a team, she can serve as a secondary damage dealer, enhancing the ult and Electro damage of the main DD, as well as dealing considerable damage from the pocket.

• Banner validity period: from June 13 to July 3, 2024
• 5-star characters (increased drop rate): Yin Lin (Electro, Converter)
• 4-star characters (increased drop rate): Taoqi[Taoqi] (Havok, broad blade), Aalto[Aalto] (Aero, pistols) and Yuanwu[Yuanwu] (Electric, mittens).

Weapon Banner (Phase Two)

• Banner validity period: from June 13 to July 3, 2024
• 5-star weapon: Stringmaster (transformer)
• 4-star weapons: Jinzhou Keeper (transformer), Cadenza (pistols) and Lunar Cutter (sword).

Update 1.1

During the livestream dedicated to the release of the game, the developers decided to introduce the new 5-star characters that will be released in patch 1.1. They turned out to be:

• Changli (Changli), who holds the position of advisor to the magistrate.
• Jinhsi, who works as a magistrate.

Types and features of banners in Wuthering Waves

If you've played Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail before, you'll quickly get the hang of the local banner system. For example, there are also three main types of banners:

• Permanent (Tide Chorus and Weaponry) - valid all the time, regardless of current events, promotions and patches. Thanks to them, you can knock out certain characters and weapons with a rarity of 4 and 5 stars. To perform spins, they require Lustrous Tide, which is sold for 160 Astrites in the in-game store.
• Temporary (convening character and weapon events) – change regularly with the release of a new update, and during one patch they change twice. As a rule, they provide a guaranteed opportunity to receive new (if they are released) or old (as part of reruns) 5-star resonators and equipment. To spin, they require Radiant Tide and Forging Tide, which are sold for 160 Astrit in the in-game store.
• Newbie Banners are one-time use banners that disappear after the first 5-star character drop. To perform spins in them, Shiny Tides are also required.

We strongly advise you to spend astrits only on Shining and Forging Tides (with one exception, described below), because in this way you will be more likely to get the character or weapon you need. Let's add that when you drop resonators or weapons, you will be given Afterglow Coral and Oscillate Coral, which can be used to purchase tides, duplicate heroes and materials.

Newbie Banner “Crying Miracles”

All novice players can use it approximately 30-50 minutes after the start of the main storyline. Unlike other banners, here you can get a 5-star character in just 50 attempts. However, single jumps are prohibited, meaning you will need to perform 10 spins at once.

Luckily, they give you a 20 percent discount on each attempt, so instead of spending 10 Shiny Tides, you'll only spend 8, meaning you'll need 40 "tickets" to complete all 50 jumps. For every 10th jump you are guaranteed to receive one 4-star hero or weapon.

In general, the following characters and weapons can be knocked out during this newbie banner:

• 5-star characters: Verina, Calcharo, Encore, Lingyang and Jianxin.
• 4-star characters: any of those available in the game.
• 4-star and 3-star weapons: all options available in standard banners.

Note that if you received a 5-star resonator before the 50th spin, the banner will automatically end and be replaced by the second convocation of a newcomer, that is, you will not be able to continue spinning it. However, there is a small chance that you will get the second legendary character in the same top ten as the first.

The presence of such pleasant starting bonuses makes it much easier to obtain certain legendary heroes already at the start of the game. For this reason, the reroll mechanics, which we discussed in a separate guide, will probably be very effective in it.

Second newbie banner

Opens immediately after closing the previous banner. The same rules apply, with a couple of exceptions. Firstly, the legendary character here is guaranteed to appear not on the 50th, but on the 80th spin. Secondly, you can now independently choose the hero you want to get - you will get it with 100% probability.

Note that you can change your preferred resonator at any time - this does not reset the attempt counter. It is quite possible to get a legendary fighter before the 80th spin. In this case, the banner will immediately be closed and disappear from the list. We advise you to first spend astrits on this particular Convocation in order to get not a random hero, but the character that you need right now.

Banner gift from the developers

Due to the presence of many technical errors at the time of the game's launch, the developers decided to add a gift banner to the game, which is an exact copy of the previous Convocation. However, it only includes one spin, which requires a Voucher of Reciprocal Tides, issued through the in-game mail.

You can get any of the 5 legendary characters listed above. In this case, you can choose the hero yourself. This banner will be valid from May 26, 2024 until May 22, 2025.

Tidal Chorus

Permanently available to all players at any time. At the 80th jump, it is guaranteed to drop a 5-star hero, although he is chosen randomly. For this reason, getting a specific character becomes extremely problematic. So we do not advise you to spend astrits on buying shiny tides to perform spins in the Chorus of the Tide.

Let's add that on the 10th jump you will be guaranteed to receive from one or more 4-star fighters or weapons. In general, this banner may contain:

• 5-star characters: Verina, Calcharo, Encore, Lingyang and Jianxin.
• 4-star characters: any of those present in the game.
• Almost all 4-star weapon options. The full list can be found on the Convocation page.

Standard weapon banner

In it you can only get legendary weapons, and you can choose which item you should drop from the following list:

• Emerald of Genesis (sword).
• Lustrous Razor (wide blade).
• Abyss Surges (gauntlets).
• Static Mist (pistols).
• Cosmic Ripples (converter).

You have a 100% chance of drawing your chosen gear at spin 80 (or sooner). 5-star characters do not drop in this banner. But on the 10th attempt, any 4-star resonator or weapon can drop. Convocations require brilliant tides to complete.

Call Event: Character

A temporary banner, usually valid for 3 weeks (changed twice per patch). In it, at the 80th convocation, you are guaranteed to receive a 5-star character, who with a 50% probability will be an event character (if he turns out to be “standard”, then the event character will appear with a 100% chance already on the 160th spin). On your 10th attempt, you will definitely get one (or more) 4-star character or weapon.

You can read more about the guarantor in our separate material. Shining Tides are spent to complete these convocations. We advise you to spend astrits on their purchase, since, firstly, you are more likely to get the hero you want, and, secondly, event heroes usually turn out to be stronger than standard ones.

Convoke Event: Weapons

Another temporary banner, which also lasts 3 weeks. In it you can get a signature weapon for the character from the Convocation discussed above. There is no 50/50 rule here, that is, on the 80th spin (or earlier) you are guaranteed to get the desired item. On the 10th attempt, one of the three variants of epic weapons indicated in the banner may drop with an increased probability.

Past banners

Here we will indicate the jumps that were valid in the past. What is it for? The fact is that developers are unlikely to make banners for the same heroes with a break of 2-3 months, so if you see that, for example, they have already made a banner for Yin Lin, then you should not expect her to be rerun in upcoming updates.
