In Genshin Impact The Custodian of Clouds is Archon's quest, that is, part of the main storyline. As part of its implementation, you have to find several objects and solve a couple of puzzles. If you're having trouble completing these tasks, check out our guide.
Find the Guardian of the Clouds
To complete this task, you need to go to the top of the mountain located northwest of the place where you met the first adept, Mount Aozang. If you activated the Statue of the Seven in this area when you completed the previous chapter 1 quest, you can easily teleport to the desired area (or better yet, to the checkpoint at the very top), and then jump from there and start hovering towards the marked area.
Once you are in the right place, go to the center of the small pond and watch a small cut-scene where you will find a table and some chairs. It looks like you need to make some offerings.
Find traces of offerings
When your target changes, you will see 3 new markers around the pond. In each of these locations you will find a campfire with a pot - apparently, someone once cooked food here.
Explore these 3 places and you'll get some recipes:
- Flatbread "Mora"
- Matsutake Meat Rolls
- Jewelry Soup
Oddly enough, you will also get all the necessary Recipe Item in these three places. Next, you need to cook at least 1 dish for each of the 3 recipes found earlier. You can use any place for cooking, that is, it is not necessary to visit all 3 fires. As soon as you return to the center of the location and present all 3 dishes, a new path will open for you! To use it, head southwest across the pond. You will see that the Hurdle that protected the entrance at the foot of the mountain has disappeared.
Enter it and you will notice a passage to a temple-like structure. When you try to go inside, you will be told that a Pyro class character is required to complete the next mission.
Note: We strongly advise you to take Amber with you. The fact is that you will need a fiery Achievement: Hero for puzzles, and if you take an archer, you can solve them much faster.
After supplying the team with the right character, you can safely enter the temple complex, where several puzzles await you.

How to solve the pillars and cubes puzzle
To solve it, first of all, activate the fiery pillar, which is located at the very beginning of the Adept's abode. This will spawn a bunch of colorful slimes and you need to defeat 10 of them within two minutes. Having dealt with them, approach the cube between two stone lanterns. Select "Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise" .
Walk to the far platform. There will be a bunch of enemies that you have to kill. Once you have defeated them all, approach the cube and select "Rotate 90 degrees clockwise" . Cross the light bridge forward and then turn left. Once on the new "island", go to the cube on the dais and interact with it.
It will activate 3 pillars of fire in a certain order, which you must repeat. Use Amber for this Achievement: Challenger, which consists of three rounds: first memorize the sequence with three pillars, then with four, and finally with five. Just learn the order and activate the pillars with fire skills within the allotted time. We will show you the combinations you need, as they may be the same for everyone.
After completing the puzzle, return to the previous cube and rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise. Now follow the light bridge to the right and use the gust of wind in the center of the island to get to the platform above. Approach the next cube and rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise. Follow the light paths to another fire puzzle. Unfortunately, it will be a little more difficult.
How to solve the column puzzle
You will see that 3 columns are lit, and 2 are not lit. You need all 5 of them to be on, but here's the catch: when you hit one monument, it will light up or turn off depending on its initial state, but the pillars on either side of it will also turn on or off. .
As a result, finding the right combination can be extremely difficult, especially if you make a mistake several times. Therefore, before you do anything, look at the image above to find out in what order you need to shoot at the monuments. They are numbered from 1 to 3.
After solving the puzzle, open the chest and collect the reward. Then use the cube to rotate the platform 90 degrees counterclockwise and follow the bridge all the way to the end. You will see a new cutscene and complete the quest.
