How to start a task
To do this, you will need to talk to a young researcher named Esther, who is located in the northwestern corner of the Dragon Ridge, not far from the teleportation point.
She will tell you about several beacons that she installed In the Mountains, but recently they stopped working. The girl will ask you to find them and return them to her.
Where to find beacons
They are pretty easy to find. They lie under the ice, but you will be able to see sparks "shooting" through the icy surface.
The first of these you can find on a small lake between the Outskirts of the Buried Capital and the Cave of Starlight. Just a couple of steps from the teleport.
The second lighthouse is nearby. Head southeast from the previous beacon and as you climb the stairs to the fast travel point, you'll be able to spot the item on the right (or left if you're descending from the teleporter).
The third is hidden south of the lake, on the side of a dirt road leading south.
The fourth is located right by the lake, between the reservoir and the previous lighthouse. Once you have found all four, return to Esther and tell her of your success. Now she will ask you to install them in new locations.
Where to install beacons
You will need to place 4 beacons on the map: the northwest side of Dragonspine, near the Albedo camp, the northeast side of the region (near the adventurer's camp) and on the southwest side.
Install the first lighthouse next to Esther. Head southwest past the teleporter and the river, and then climb the mountainside near Fatui's camp to find a place to place the device.
As for the second beacon, go southwest towards the Surroundings of the Buried Capital. Head southwest from the fast travel point to the frozen patch of water and climb the small mountainside to the west of it to find the spot.
To set up the third beacon, head to the waypoint near Camp Albedo. Next, fly over the broken bridge to your west and climb up the side of the mountain. Here is the necessary point.
Now teleport to a location near the Permafrost Tree and head east to find some ruins. A suitable place to install is at the top of a broken tower.
After placing all the beacons, return to Esther to complete the task. As a reward, you will receive 300 adventure points, 40 source stones, 2 hero experience and 20,000 Mora.
