In Genshin Impact Wang Shu is story quest of the Archons, in which you will meet a character named Xiao and will have to solve a small puzzle related to the seal of the demon tamer. If you're having trouble completing this quest, check out our guide.
Passage of the quest "Wang Shu"
After completing the previous task from the 1st chapter "Of the Land Amidst Monoliths", you can begin the passage of a new mission related to finding the next adept.
Head to Wang Shu Inn
Quickly get to the top of the Wang Shu Inn (thank god there's a fast travel point here) and then head inside the inn and head northwest to the upper level for a short cutscene. During it, you will find a local adept (it was fast) Xiao.
Yes, Xiao is a playable character, which is good news. In any case, watch the scene in which the adept advises you to get out of here as soon as possible.
Ask the boss's wife about Xiao
Go back inside the building and talk to the owner Verr Goldet, standing at the main counter. We ask her about the adept. Looks like we need to lure Xiao out with food. Talk to the chef who is outside, right against the wall. Tell him you want to order Almond Tofu and he will tell you that he can't make it because of the ghost in the kitchen.
Return to the building, go past the counter where the hostess is standing, and go down to the kitchen, where you will activate a cut-scene when you get close to the light. There really IS a ghost that belongs to a little girl. Go back to the cook and talk to him. You need to do something about that ghost or you won't get Almond Tofu.
Go to the owner of the establishment and talk to her. She will tell you to go and check the Demon Tamer Seal. Go up the stairs in front of the woman and turn around near the balcony to find a scroll on the wall. Examine it.
Find a spot to inspect the Demon Tamer's Seal
The marked area on your minimap shows that the seal is located outside right next to the inn, so go outside and jump down. See the rocks to the east by the river? The ones with yellow markings?
When you land, you will see a sparkle on the ground near these three rocks. You will need to stand right in front of the smallest of the boulders to connect the symbols on them and get the drawing you saw earlier on the scroll. In the screenshot below, we have shown exactly how to position your character.
As soon as you get the right drawing, the ghost of the girl will appear. Go chase her.
Chase the ghost
Run south across the bridge and then southeast to find the girl. She will awaken the Ruin Hunter, who is an enhanced version of the Ruin Guardian. Destroy this dangerous robot, and then talk to Baby Ming to calm her down.
After dealing with the ghost, teleport back to the inn and talk to the cook. He will be very happy to make you the desired Almond Tofu. Now take the dish to Xiao and watch another cut-scene. This completes the quest and rewards you with 475 Adventure Points, 30 Sourcestones, 14,600 Pestilence, 3 Enchant Magic Mora, and 5 Adventurer XP.
