Tales of Winter in Genshin Impact: "Telling It How It Is" Achievement

    Zorthrus

In Genshin Impact Tales of Winter is daily errand Mondstadt, where you can learn new information about the Snowy, and where you have to deal with several monsters. As a result, you will be able to open the achievement "I Telling It How It Is" and unlock access to the world quest "Equivalent Exchange".

How to start the Tales of Winter quest

Unlike world quests, most of which start by talking to a certain NPC or fulfilling a set of conditions, quests are issued randomly on a daily basis, so this mission may fall to you either tomorrow or in a month. However, there is an opportunity to slightly increase the probability of its loss.

To do this, open the Adventurer's Handbook (click on the open book icon in the upper right corner), go to the "Assignments" section and select Mondstadt in the "desired region" column. Now wait for the desired task.

After that, head to Favonius Cathedral, located in the city of Mondstadt and look for a native of Snezhnaya named Victor there. Enter into a dialogue with him in order to fully take on the task.

Walkthrough of the quest "Tales of Winter"

During the conversation with the above character, you will find out what exactly he does in the city. Next, you can ask him 3 questions regarding his faction and country:

    • Fatui
    • Eye of Corruption
    • Her Majesty

As part of one passage of the task, you can ask Victor just one question. To receive an answer, it will be necessary to fulfill the order of the diplomat. The tasks in this case will vary depending on the selected topic. We'll look at all three options below.

    Collect trophies from the hilichurl

This task will appear if you ask Victor about Fatui. A new purple marker will appear on the map, located south of the Temple of a Thousand Winds. Just teleport to the nearest dungeon and then run down.

Here you will have to fight two groups of Hilichurls. The first wave will consist of 3 Electro Helichurl Gunners, 2 Helichurl Grenadiers and one Anemo Shamachurl. We advise you to take a crowd control character (Kazuha, Sucrose or Venti) to the Anemo team to collect enemies in a bunch, and then hit them with powerful elemental explosions that hit the area.

In the second wave, you will be attacked by a Hilichurl Berserker and a Blazing Axe Mitachurl. It is not necessary to fight the first one, since the desired item drops only from the second monster. Therefore, deal with him, take the "Loot from Mitachurl" and leave the battlefield.

    Collect trophies from Treasure Thieves

This task will appear if you ask Viktor about the Eye of Corruption. A new purple marker will spawn on the map, located south of Brightcrown Canyon. Just move to the nearest teleportation point, and then run to the southwest.

When you reach the indicated place, get ready to face two waves treasure thieves. The first includes the following opponents: Electro and Pyro chemists, gravedigger, shooter and scout. Again, they can be easily grouped in one place with Anemo abilities, and then hit all with "ulti".

In the second wave, you will need to fight with one gravedigger and one crusher (with a hammer). However, only the last one is enough to kill, since it is from him that the "Treasure Hoarder Loot" drops out. After that, you can leave the battlefield.

Collect trophies from the guardian of the ruins

This task will appear if you ask Viktor about Her Majesty. A new purple marker will appear on the map, located in the southwestern part of Brightcrown Canyon. Just move to the nearest teleporter and then run to the northwest.

When you reach the right place, you will find ruin guard. However, another Ruin Machine may be lying or walking nearby, so you will most likely have to fight two automatons at once. Recall that they have high resistance to physical damage, but are weak to elemental attacks, so use elemental explosions against them more often. Once you've dealt with the target enemy, you'll receive Ruin Guard Loot.

How to unlock the "Telling It How It Is" achievement

After completing any of the tasks, return to Victor and give him the extracted items to hear the answer to your question. At this point, the task will be completed, and you will receive a standard reward for this type of mission.

If you want to get a trophy from the section "Snezhnaya Does Not Believe in Tears: Series I", then you will need to ask the diplomat all 3 questions, that is, complete this daily task at least 3 times. Given the randomness of its drop, get ready for the fact that unlocking this achievement could take you weeks, if not months.
