How to start a task
Head to the location south of the Caravan Ribat and north of the Dahri Ruins in the Ashavan Land area. The required point is shown on the map below. When you come here, you will notice three mushroom pigs standing next to a sugar flower. Shoot one of them from afar to trigger a short cutscene.
Note: We advise you to use an archer, as if the animals scatter, you will have to wait an unknown amount of time before they reappear in this place. So try not to scare them ahead of time.
After dealing with one of the mushroom pigs, you will see a forest sentinel appear out of nowhere. Chat with him. You find out that his name is Shefket. He will ask you to capture dusky birds and give him feathers to study. After that, the corresponding mission starts.
How to Catch Dusky Birds in the Southern Apam Thicket
Note: We highly recommend going through the quest chain Varuna Gatha, since birds do not like rain and hide on rainy days. If you do not complete these missions and approach the marker with birds, then there will be no one there, and after entering the highlighted area, Paimon will say that the birds have flown away.
Move towards the quest marker located in the south of the forest. When you are about 50-100 meters from the specified zone, slow down your movement and start very slowly getting close to it until you see a bright bird on the stone shrine. That is, you do not need to enter directly into the orange area - just find the bird and shoot it with a bow.
If the birds notice you, they will immediately fly away, because of which you will have to wait an indefinite period of time until they return. After shooting one of the targets, deal with a group of hermits. They are unlikely to create problems for you, as they are ordinary ordinary mobs. After that, talk to Shefket.
How to kill dusk birds in the northern part of Apam
Head to the next location. Like last time, try to stand not directly in the indicated area, but a little further away so as not to frighten away the bird sitting on the stone. If you already see her, then immediately shoot her with a bow. Otherwise, slowly approach the stone until you spot a bird.
After collecting feathers, chat with the hermits again. They will tell you that Shefket's activities are illegal. You agree to help them.
How to catch dusk birds on the mountain in the eastern part of Apam
Head to the marked area and stand near it. If you already see birds (they are sitting near the river), then immediately shoot one of them with a bow. Otherwise, start slowly approaching the orange zone until you see the target. Then fire an arrow at any of them.
Note: If you still can’t get close to the birds at a shot distance, as they fly away all the time, then try to take Aloy or Sayu. Perhaps her passive ability also affects quest animals.
After that, watch the cut-scene. When it ends, you have to fight the treasure thieves. We advise you to use Hero Cryo here to permanently freeze enemies near the river.
After destroying the opponents, chat with Orhan again. He will express his gratitude to you and advise you to check strangers before completely trusting them. This task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 30 primogems, 30 thousand pestilence, 3 hero books and 250 adventure points.
