In Hogwarts Legacy Follow the butterflies is side mission, in which you have to follow the indicated insects in order to find a chest in the forest. If you are having difficulty accepting a quest or finding butterflies, then check out our walkthrough.
Passage of the quest "Follow the butterflies"
How to start a task
- Recommended level: not lower than 5th.
- Requirements: Complete the Potions Classes story mission.
Go to Hogsmeade and enter the inn called "Three broomsticks", which is located in the very center of the settlement. Once inside, go to the far left corner of the room. There you will find a girl named Clementine Willardsey. Talk to her and agree to help find the butterflies.
Find butterflies in the Forbidden Forest
Head to the indicated forest thicket. You can simply run to the right place or fly on a broomstick, following the quest pointer. When you reach the marked place, you will find dozens of pink butterflies. As soon as you approach them, they will start flying somewhere.
Find out where the butterflies fly
Follow the butterflies to the pond on the left side. It is not necessary to get into the water - you can just run after them along the shore. If you lose sight of them, then it's okay, as their location will be shown on the minimap. Then climb up to a small hill, and next to the tree you will find a chest.
When you take the contents of the chest (the collectible is hidden in it), you can get the achievement "Follow the Butterflies" if you first traced these insects to the treasure.
Now return to Clementine, who will still be waiting for you at the Three Broomsticks. After talking with her, the task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 180 experience points and a blueprint for the Flower Box for the Help Room.
