In Honkai: Star Rail Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow is the first mission to master and prologue to the game's main storyline. As part of it, you have to choose a main character, fight the first opponents from the Antimatter Legion, meet your future companions and defeat the Doomsday Beast. Chaos of the Deep
The task will start with a splash screen. Then you will need to fight the first enemies. The game will tell you what to do. You will manage the 5-star heroine Kafka. After dealing with the opponents, go forward and interact with the controller to open the door. Keep moving forward, following the quest markers.
Entering the space station, you will engage in a fight with a lone Void Ranger. You will be explained step by step how to defeat opponents. Watch another video in which you will meet the Silver Wolf. Talk to her. You can explore the room for collecting notes, and then go further.
In the hallway, hit the next enemy with a “wolf cub” to trigger the enemy’s vulnerability. In this battle, you will be taught superpowers. Keep moving forward, destroying destructible objects to get additional materials, health points or energy units.
Examine the Observation Room
Approaching the next door, you will be ambushed. In this battle, you will be told about skill points and their accumulation. After dealing with opponents, examine the two terminals in the room. Don't forget to destroy items to get materials. Then talk to the Silver Wolf again, who will discover Stellaron.
Interact with the monitor to find the secret of the room. Approach your partner again. Watch the cut-scene, press the controller and select the gender of the main character. At this point in time, it is known that it only affects the appearance of the protagonist, so make a choice based on your preferences.
Note: If you wait 2-3 minutes, you will hear funny comments from the Frostwolf.
Next, watch a lengthy cutscene with Kafka, March 7, and Dan Heng. After its completion, the mission will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 5,000 credits and 600 development experience.
Ground zero of the storm
March 7 will join your group. You will automatically pick up a weapon, so you can safely leave the room by interacting with the terminal. Before that, you can choose Curiosity Book I by clicking on the laptop to the left of the entrance. Go into the corridor and attack the level 1 enemy (we will indicate the level of the enemies so that you roughly know how pumped your team needs to be in order to successfully confront the monsters).
Go to the elevator in the Atrium
Attack Baryon with March 7, and rangers with Pathfinder, as they have vulnerabilities to ice and physical damage, respectively. Don't forget to put up shields so you don't lose a lot of health. You can restore HP near spatial anchors (teleports). Move on to the elevator and watch a new cutscene.
Destroy the containers on the left, and then move to the right, opening a regular chest along the way. By the way, in the future you will be able to freely explore the Hertha Space Station, so don't worry if you miss any chests while completing this quest. In a separate guide, we will indicate the location of all the treasures.
Going to the right, you will encounter another enemy (level 1). Attack him with any character to break through the vulnerability. Next, you will be explained the mechanics of choosing a priority target by enemies. Having dealt with the legionnaires, go to the elevator. It won't work. Watch the video, after which Dan Heng will join you.
After the cutscene, go around the elevator to find a chest and a destructible object. Be sure to level up the new fighter to keep up with his allies. Now go to the next enemy (level 2) and attack him with a technique (key "E") March 7 to freeze opponents from the very beginning.
Go up to the upper level and take the elevator
Go to the Observation Room to meet with Arlan. Watch the new video and use the encryption key on the panel. Then activate Footprints on the characters. Follow the quest marker and enter the corridor. At the fork, turn left (if you go right, you will encounter a level 2 enemy guarding a regular chest) and enter the next room.
Level 2 Legionnaires are waiting for you in this room. Attack them with the March 7 technique to freeze them. Having dealt with them, look into the side room to find another chest. Keep moving forward, destroying objects along the way. Climb up the light path and open the chest on the left.
Engage the next enemy (level 2) in the hallway, using Pathfinder or Dan Heng for the first attack. Climb even higher, watch the cutscene and equip the main character with the light cone you found. Go to the side room for a regular chest.
Keep moving towards the elevator. Then a cut-scene will start, after which you have to fight a mini-boss Void Ranger: Suppressor (level 3). He is vulnerable to wind damage, so use Dan Heng's skills and super ability on him. Protect this damage dealer with a shield March 7.
Try to destroy ordinary mobs as quickly as possible with the help of the Pathfinder. To do this, use his ult and attack several opponents at once. In general, this fight should not cause you any problems with the operational installation of barriers.
Having dealt with all opponents, watch a new cut-scene. After its completion, the task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 600 development experience, 5000 credits and 80 star jade.
A moment of peace
The 5-star heroine Himeko will join your party as a trial character. First of all, you will need to talk to Asta, who is standing on the bridge. After talking to her, you will receive your first Star Pass. Read the instructions for Jumping, as part of which you will receive a new heroine in your squad.
Next, talk to Arlacn, receiving 3 light cones from him. Now find researchers who need your help. First you can talk to Abraham, who is on the upper level. Tell him "We're all going to die, but not today"
. Then chat with Hinkel. The correct answer to her question is: "Up, Right and Down"

Next, talk to Asta again and watch a short cutscene. When it ends, the mission will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 2000 credits and 600 development experience.
Non-fading shadows
Clear the path of obstacles and move forward
Destroy destructible objects and engage level 5 enemies. Attack March 7 to immediately freeze opponents. Use Himeko's attacks to deal damage to multiple enemies at the same time. Open the door with the controller and start going down.
Find a way to leave the Parts Warehouse and get to the platform
After descending, attack the legionnaires of the 5th level. Don't forget to put up shields to protect allies who have become priority targets. Having dealt with all opponents, interact with the control device to create a bridge. Climb up again and approach the second panel. Now you can go to the other side.
Fight the level 5 baryons by attacking them with an ice technique. March 7. Climb down and go through the passage on the left. You will be taken to the next area with a dimensional anchor. On the left side is strong enemy level 11. If you want to fight him, then upgrade your characters to at least the same level. Then attack him with the March 7 technique, freezing ordinary mobs.
Attack the elite enemy with Dan Heng, as he is vulnerable to wind damage, and deal with ordinary opponents as quickly as possible with the rest. We advise you to protect Han with a shield, since the Suppressor will most often attack him. Having dealt with all the enemies, go forward a little and open luxury chest.
Now you can go right to the platform. You'll encounter level 6 Legionnaires along the way, but they shouldn't cause you much trouble. Continue walking down the corridor forward. In the next room, you will have to fight two waves of enemies at once if they are next to each other. Fortunately, many of them are vulnerable to fire, so you can easily deal with them with Himeko.
How to defeat the Doomsday Beast
Search the room for a chest and notes, then open the door and head down to the teleporter. After reaching the quest marker, watch the video with the boss. Next, you have to fight him.
No matter how much speed your characters have, the boss will still start walking first, hitting you twice. Your goal is to survive two phases of the enemy, each time destroying 3 targets on it (two arms and an engine). At the same time, each part of the Beast's body has different vulnerabilities, so you need to choose the right characters for them to attack.
Fortunately, all targets have a weakness to fire, so Himeko's superpower will be able to break through the shield of all limbs at once. Once you destroy these objects, the Doomsday Beast will fall and you can deal damage to it. Use your skills to quickly finish him off. After that, the second phase will begin, where you will have to repeat this process.
Your squad will most likely have Pathfinder, Dan Heng, March 7, and Himeko. At the beginning, we advise you to save skill points in order to gradually apply shields to all your characters. Then use Himeko's area attacks to break through the targets' vulnerability.
Spend skill points on Pathfinder and Dan Heng abilities only if you have extra points or if the targets' durability is reduced by half. If you can’t manage to defeat the boss in any way, then try to pump the characters to the maximum by returning back, finishing off the remaining enemies and opening all the chests.
After destroying the boss, watch a spectacular cutscene, and then chat with Himeko and Gerta. Next, go to the scientist's office and talk to her alone. After the conversation ends, the mission will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 80 Star Jade, 30,000 Credits, 3 Adventure Logs, and 1,200 Mastering XP.
Journey continues
Virtual Universe: Primary Test
You will need to complete this quest to continue the main storyline. Enter the device and run forward. Deal with enemies and choose different blessings. The battles here are not difficult, and the game constantly gives hints, so we will not consider this mission in detail.
We add that we are not talking about the full version of the Virtual Universe, but only its test run - it allows players to try out the end-game content of Honkai: Star Rail a little. Completing this quest will reward you with Hertha, 10,000 credits, 500 exploration experience, 2 adventure logs, and a light cone. Next, exit the scientist's office.
Consult with the guys and report your decision to Himeko
Now you can use spatial anchors to quickly move around the world. Head to the Support Area and talk to Himeko next to the train. Say you're ready to go and watch the new video.
Note: At this stage, Arlan will have to contact you and ask you for help. This will start the adventure mission "Rebirth Road".
Inside the express, talk to Pom-Pom, who will unlock the Guide to the Interstellar World for you. Talk to him again, and then go to the residential car. There, visit the cabins of Dan Heng and March 7. Then go back and wait for the jump. There will be a couple more additional features.
After a few more cutscenes and conversations, you will finally complete this quest chain and start the next line of quests called "Into the Dry Winter Night".
