Walkthrough of the mission "To: The Faint Star"
How to start a task
- Required level of development: 13th
After completing the exploration mission "The Long Wait for the Edge of the Blade", if you meet the required level of development, then you will have to write to Rocky, who will take an interest in the well-being of a certain Leslie.
The guy will not answer who Leslie is, so you decide to visit him. Head to the Main Control Area at the Hertha Space Station and look for the boy on the left side of the room. Talk to him.
Find a repeater and collect old parts
Travel to the first floor of the Storage Area and then head east to the control room and inspect the highlighted computer.
Next, you will need to collect two old parts. If you have been here before when looking for an access card for triple authentication doors, then you can just go through the existing bridges to the first item (it is not necessary to fight enemies). Here, interact with the device to create an orange bridge. Go through it and take the second part.
Examine the notes and go to the Observation Room
Now return to the repeater and repair it. Select the "Inspect" option again to examine the records. Select the second page and click on the first option, and then on the second. You won't be able to get an answer.
Now head to the Observation Room in the Base Zone. You will be able to open this area when completing an adventure mission "Rebirth Road". Interact with the computer, go to the next page and select the option "Removal Area".
How to identify a criminal
Move to the Main Control Zone and go to the area marked in yellow. Find Bernard near the dimensional anchor and talk to him. He will tell you the whole truth.
Tell Rocky the truth or lie
Now you will have to decide whether to tell the young man the truth about Leslie's answer or lie to him. Just note that the reward from your choice will not change. He also will not affect the main storyline in any way, but the fate of Rocky will depend on him.
- If you give the guy the red magazine, he too will confess his love for Leslie and vow to be with her, saying that he will leave the station despite all the problems with time travel.
- If you give the guy the blue magazine, he will get very upset and tear up all his poems except for one. At the same time, Rocky will remain at the station and continue his research.
So, in any case, you will receive 250 development experience, 40 star jade, 12 thousand credits, 12 rarefied ethers and 50 hertariums. Although the quest will end, Rocky's story will continue.
How to get the "Diamond and Rust" achievement
After completing the quest, go to Bernard, who is still standing on the bridge, and give him the journal that you have left. Talk to him for a bit, and after the dialogue ends, you will receive an achievement "Diamond and Rust".
Then you can move to another location and come back. Engage in dialogue with Bernard again to learn about the fate of Rocky. If he decided to go after Leslie, then the mentor will call him a "stupid boy" who does not even write to him. At the same time, his vital signs will be in order. Most likely, he has already entered the "gorge", which is why his messages go here too slowly.
