In Honkai: Star Rail, Windswept Wanderlust is a storyline quest line that takes place in Lofu Xianzhou. You'll find Stellaron again, this time connected to The Hunt, Opulence, and Mara, and meet a ton of new characters. In this guide, we'll show you how to start and progress through the exploration mission chain.
How to start the "Windswept Wanderlust" chain
Before you can take on this quest line, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Mastery level 29.
- Finish the previous storyline called "Under the scorching dawn sun".
Having dealt with the indicated requirements, you should immediately see the corresponding ruler in your journal. It includes 11 separate missions, which we'll look at in more detail below.
An unexpected invitation
How to vote for a destination
Watch a short cutscene, then chat with Himeko and join the express crew meeting. Suddenly, Kafka will appear and ask you to go to Lofu Xianzhou and free Blade there. Together with March 7, go to Dan Heng and talk to him. The girl will offer to vote everyone against visiting the Alliance ship.
Go back and take part in the voting. You can choose any option, as March 7 will unexpectedly be in favor of visiting Lofu Xianzhou. Therefore, even if you oppose, you will lose by the number of votes. This time you will visit a new region with Welt Young.
Enter into a dialogue with a senior friend and go to a new world. You will get to the cargo port, where there will be no one. At this point, the task will come to an end, and as a reward you will receive 100 development experience, 5 thousand credits and 2 condensed ether.
Among those stricken by Mara
Once in Cloud Ferry, run forward to the quest marker. There you will find wounded soldiers and new level 43 monsters. Their vulnerabilities are shown in the screenshots below. Note that soldiers hit by Mara will respawn after death with half health.
After dealing with the enemies, go down to the next sign. A cutscene will start where you will find strangers ambushed. Help them out by taking on a new group of infected level 45 soldiers.
After dealing with them, talk to new acquaintances. You will learn that the fox is called Tingyun - she is the envoy of the merchant guild. Chat with her.
Go to the pier and defeat opponents
Run to the next marker by going down and then going up. Deal with several enemies along the way. You will also face the first puzzle of the new region. Interact with the controller and move the container to the right, thus forming a bridge.
Now click on the second console and move the boxes to the left, creating a passage for yourself. Climb up the ladder, deal with the enemies on the left and click on the Castle to open the door. Go to the square and deal with two groups of opponents. Run forward and then turn left towards the anchor.
Below you will be waiting for a dangerous enemy level 45 - different-faced. Its vulnerabilities are shown in the picture below. He is similar to the Lieutenant of the Silvermane Guardians, as he can also call for backup, but has more attacking abilities. After dealing with the enemies, sit in the star skiff and watch a new cut-scene.
At this point, the task will come to an end, and as a reward you will receive 800 development experience, 3 traveler's guides, 30 thousand credits, 3 refined ether and 80 star jade.
