In Honkai: Star Rail, Rarely Affectionate (Part 2) is a companion mission in which you have to decide the fate of Pascal by taking the side of Clara or Svarog. You also have to fight a direwolf and a grizzly. If you're having trouble picking up and completing this quest, check out our guide.

Passage of the companion mission "Rarely Affectionate (Part 2)"

    How to start a task

Before you can take on its implementation, you will need to comply with a number of certain conditions, namely:

Note that even after the end of the story quest, you will not immediately receive the companion mission - you will first need to wait for the server reset, which occurs at 4 o'clock in the morning. Then you should receive a message from Clara, in which she will tell you that the recently found robot has finally been repaired. Go to the Robot Settlement and talk to the girl.

Together with Clara, find a suitable corps in the Graveyard of Machines

Use the elevator on the ice bridge to go down, and then move to the cemetery located at the top of the slope. Here you will find a discarded model direwolf. We advise you to prepare a suitable unit before approaching him, as he will immediately attack you after the cutscene.

This level 53 enemy is vulnerable to ice, electric and imaginary damage, so we advise you to take Serval, March 7 or Gerta (from budgetary characters) with you. Having dealt with the enemy, take his body. Then return to the base and repair Pascal.

    Follow the fleeing Pascal

Move to Zaklepkograd and go to the point marked by the marker. There you will find that Pascal has been attacked grizzly automaton who mistook it for a fragmentum creature. So we recommend that you prepare a suitable team in advance to fight this elite enemy.

This level 53 enemy is vulnerable to electrical, fire and ice damage, so we advise you to take the appropriate damage dealers. Sometimes he will summon spider automatons, which must be destroyed as quickly as possible, otherwise they will explode near your characters.

    Explore the Tempering Workshop

After dealing with the enemy, take the grizzly's body, and then follow Pascal to the workshop. Fighting enemies along the way is optional. You will find out that this particular robot has been repairing the city all the time, hoping that the inhabitants will someday return to it.

Next, explore the workshop by examining the three points of interest highlighted by the markers. As a result, you will learn the history of Pascal.

Convince Clara or Svarog to accept the other side's option and decide Pascal's fate

Return to the base and talk to Svarog again. He will continue to insist that Pascal needs to be formatted and connected to the base network, but Clara will be against this. You have to decide which side to take. Note that this will not affect the reward of the quest, but will affect its ending and access to the next mission of the adventure.

To make a decision, you need to talk to the character you want to convince. We will describe both options below.

    • If you take the side of Svarog, then he will format Pascal and integrate him into the network of the base, because of which he will lose his self-awareness and emotions. At the same time, Clara will remain next to the robot and will hold his hand in the last minutes of her life. At the same time, Pascal will remain living in the Robot Settlement. After resetting the server, you will receive the mission "It's a pity that you're not here."
    • If you side with Clara, she will decide to install a new software package on it and remove the information noise. However, in this case, she will have to constantly clean up the extra "garbage" and monitor Pascal so that he does not harm people. By the way, the robot will stay in Zaklepkograd. After resetting the server, you will receive the "No one is answering" mission.

After making your decision and watching the cutscene, you will complete the task. As a reward, you will receive 350 development experience, 60 star jade, 200 shields, 20 thousand credits and 4 condensed ether. Plus, you will unlock the achievement "Clara and the Sun", and Clara will now be able to visit you on the Star Express.
