Secret of the Spring in Diablo 4: how to solve the riddle in the note

In Diablo 4, Secret of the Spring is a side quest in which you have to solve a text riddle to get a secret chest. To do this, you will need to visit a certain place and wait. If you're having trouble starting or completing a quest, check out our guide.

How to start a task

You can take on this quest immediately after the start of the game, but it's best to do it after reaching level 15-17, otherwise you will have to go around all the enemies in your path. So, head to the location of the Kilsik Plateau (Shattered Peaks), located north of Kiowashad.

Here you will find a quarry. Head to the location marked on the map above and climb up to the ledge using the wooden ladder, or head here from the west side. Then look for the Discarded Note on the ground and interact with it. You will see the following text: “Like a hearth fire in a cold winter, the reward of patience is the grace of nature” .

Immediately after that, the corresponding mission will appear in your journal. It will contain a hint on its passage: "Beacon of warmth in the middle of winter - nature itself will reward you for your patience" .

Solve the riddle in the note

First of all, go to the area, which will be marked on the map with a blue circle. Luckily, you won't have to go far - just go a little north until you reach a hot spring located in the Orobas Channel. Be careful, as there may be tormentors from the Ice clan nearby.

After dealing with the enemies, stand near the pool and press the "E" key (PC) or the up arrow (on consoles) to open the reaction ring. Next, click on an emotion "Wait". If it is missing, then click on the "Edit" button, select the desired reaction and transfer it to the quick access panel.

Save the changes, open the reaction ring again and click on "Wait". Immediately after that, a buried chest will appear next to you. Approach it and open it for a reward: 1840 gold coins, 20 renown (Shattered Peaks), 3 pieces of iron, 3 gallows vines and 8799 experience points. The mission will be completed.
