In Honkai: Star Rail The test of the ice blade is companion mission, during which you have to help Yanqing, who went alone to capture the escaped Stellaron Hunters. How to start a task
Access to it was opened on June 28, 2023 at 12:00 server time. Before you can take on its implementation, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Mastery level 34.
- Complete the story mission called "Branching Horns and Tangled Roots" from the chain "Heavenly Journey on a Star Raft".
Once you've dealt with the above requirements, head to the Central Harbor of Star Skiff Refuge located on Lofu Xianzhou. There, interact with Deetin to take on the corresponding quest. If there is no robot dog in the indicated place, then try to log out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes and re-enter the game.
How to help Ditin and check the information
You won't be able to understand his speech after interacting with the robops, so decide to take him out March 7. The girl can be found in the same location, east of the Star-Sailboat Landing anchor. Talk to her - she will translate Deetin's phrase for you.
Move to the "Landing Zone" anchor located at Cloud Ferry, and then "chat" with the dog again. Now run ahead of her and find the evidence lying on the ground. Examine it, and you will find a jade beacon that will highlight the image of a teenager you do not know.
How to pass the Cloud Ferry Port Challenge
Next, the challenge menu will open, which will show the enemies that you can face as part of the exploration. Carefully study their vulnerabilities and choose the right characters for them. You will be given Yanqin as a trial hero. We advise you to take fighters to him, causing imaginary and wind damage.
Find clues in Cloud Ferry
You need to ask the commander of the Cloud Knights about the current situation. Just go forward and interact with the soldier.
Next, you have to find 3 clues in the marked area. The screenshots below show their exact location. Note that in total here you can find 5 clues, however, to advance through the plot, it is enough to study only 3 of them.
After examining the robot boat, the report on the conduct of the Cloud Knights' patrol, and the list of lost star skiffs, you will find out that the criminal has most likely not left Lofu Xianzhou yet.
Head to the dock
Turn right, go down the stairs and engage in a fight with a soldier struck by Mara - the vulnerabilities of the enemies are shown in the screenshot below. Having dealt with the opponents, turn left and approach the controller (the enemy will lie on the ground - you can just walk past him). Select the "Move Left" option to unlock the passage.
You will see several dead bodies ahead. Watch the cutscene, and then send Deetin on the trail of the wanted man. You just need to follow the dog forward. As you climb up the stairs, you will encounter a new group of enemies - their vulnerabilities are shown in the image below.
Having dealt with opponents, talk to an unfamiliar girl - she will call herself Jinglu. After the conversation, interact with her again, and then escort her to a safe place. To do this, go forward and climb the stairs. Then turn left and fight the inner alchemists.
Then chat with the girl again. Now just turn right and go down to get to the pier.
How to investigate the navigation system and determine the location of the star skiff
Interact with the device at the edge of the site. Next, you will need to solve the jade diagram puzzle. To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the topmost green hexagon and rotate it two times clockwise.
- Select the right green hexagon and rotate it counterclockwise three times.
- Select the bottom green hexagon and rotate it two times clockwise.

Competition with Jingliu
You will be transported to another area, where the competition will take place. Climb the stairs up and engage in a fight with the first enemies, whose vulnerabilities are shown in the screenshot below. Having dealt with opponents, run forward. There you will find Jingliu. Run further - the girl will constantly overtake you, no matter how hard you try.
Run forward across the bridge, turn left and go up the stairs. There you will encounter the Werewolf and the Inner Alchemists. A fight with an elite enemy will begin. In this case, Jinglu will be on your team. True, they will not be allowed to manage it.
After dealing with the enemies, talk to the swordswoman again. Then watch the epic video and read the words that the girl left for you. At this point, the test will come to an end, and you will return to Pathfinder and March 7.
Take the Beacon to the Hall of Divine Foresight
Once you've obtained the Jade Beacon, travel to the Zhomu Pavilion anchor located in the Exalted Sanctuary, and then head west and enter the desired location. Inside, talk to Jing Yuan and tell him about the hologram you found. You can ask him a few questions or immediately end the dialogue.
As a result, Yanqing's mission will come to an end and you will unlock the "Master Among Blades" trophy. Plus, you'll get 350 XP on 5 Traveler's Guides, 5 Refined Ethers, 100 Star Jades, 50,000 Credits, and "Blade Abracadabra" as a reward.
