Capturing Light and Shadow in Genshin Impact is Peace Quest Mirage Velurium, which is part of the event "Summer! Amusement park? Mirage!" . During this quest, you will learn the history of the great artist and help the Hydro Eidolons restore his painting. In this guide, we have described in detail the passage of the mission.
Passage of the quest "Capturing Light and Shadow"
How to start a task
Read about the conditions that must be met to participate in the event in our respective guide.
In order to start this task, you need to complete the first chapter of the event quests, "An invitation from afar!".
After that, move to the teleport in the eastern part of the Garden of Silver Vessels and fly south to the location indicated on the map. There, take the Taratayka Chuh-Chukh and ride to the next station.
Here you can activate a new teleporter and get 4 Celebration coupon, opening the casket from the other side.
Now go up the stairs. Paimon will notice a large slab with a fresco, after which the quest will begin.
Explore the cave
Walk forward - you will see a Hydro Eidolon. Follow him, and a drop will lead you to the usual treasure and the first part of the diary of a certain Gaius Verhacht.
After reading the diary, continue to follow the eidolon and it will lead you to Tarataika Chuh-Chukh. Go to the next station.
See how the droplet destroys the print on the first stream projector and restores part of the mural.
Unlock three streaming projectors
First projector
Not far from the fresco you will see a group of moulders. Defeat them, open a regular chest and read the second part of Verhacht's diary, where he talks about his extraordinary talent.
Then go to the edge of the wooden platform and go down into the cave. Here you will encounter a frightened eidolon surrounded by three Hilichurls. Defeat the monsters.
Follow the drop. You will again come across monsters - Pyro slimes and hilichurls. The droplet will turn into a Hydro Mimic and help you a little in the fight.
Open a regular chest, go up to the platform and go to the next station of Taratayki Chuh-Chukh. Upon arrival, the eidolon will restore the second part of the fresco.
Second projector
Turn northeast from the fresco. Paimon will notice a path and offer to explore it. Climb the wall and go to the open passage.
Here you will see a drop, frightened of torches. Put them out with Hydro. There is another part of the diary in this room where Verhacht talks about Idia.
Follow the drop. Take the regular treasure.
Next, the eidolon will pass through the grate, but we cannot open it. But we can use the four leaf symbol to go further. Here, by the way, there is a niche in the wall with an ordinary chest.
Extinguish the torches with the Hydro (or fan the water with the Anemo) to get the droplet through. Use the four leaf symbol again and move on.
Defeat a group of Hilichurls and take a regular chest. Get to Taratayka Chuh-Chukh and sit in it. Eidolon will restore the third part of the fresco.
Third projector
Now go in the opposite direction from the fresco - a passage will open here. Open the rich chest and follow the droplet. Read the last part of the diary.
In the next room, activate two Hydro Totems. The third one is behind bars, so approach Hydro Eidolon and ask him for help. Take the regular chest.
Fight a group of monsters again and get a regular chest.
You will enter a room with 3 elemental monuments. Ask the droplet to check the Hydro monument to activate it, and light the Cryo and Pyro totems yourself.
After picking up the usual chest, sit down in Taratayka Chuh-Chukh. The last part of the fresco will be restored.
Restore the drawing
Approach one of the projectors to get into the preprint. Collect all the luminous parts there, and then restore the drawing by placing them on special round places. When you restore the painting and exit the preprint, the quest will be completed.
Awards
After completing the quest, you will receive 300 adventure experience, 40 primogems, 20 thousand pestilence, 3 experience books and 3 enhancement ores, as well as a deluxe chest.
