In Cyberpunk 2077 Dog Eat Dog is the first story quest in the Phantom Liberty expansion. As part of it, you have to find Jay and get to Dog City, breaking through the protected zone. In this guide, we will tell you how to start this task and what you need to do to complete it.
Walkthrough of the quest “Dog Eat Dog” in Cyberpunk 2077
How to start a task
We've covered in detail how to start the Unknown Land DLC in separate manual. In short, you must complete the second act by completing the Human Factor mission and starting For Whom the Bell Tolls. Then wait until a mysterious stranger calls you. Usually the call occurs while driving a car (motorcycle).
The girl will invite you to meet her on the border of Dog City, which is an isolated area of Night City. Agree to her request, and then start tracking the quest in your quest log if it doesn't automatically become active.
Get to the edge of Dog Town and find Jay
After the conversation, you can open the map and see where you need to go. The border of the area you need is located northeast of the Chapel. Stop near the quest marker, get out of the vehicle and move to the entrance on foot. After this, you will have a new task - to find Jay.
A yellow zone in the shape of the letter “L” will appear on the mini-map. Follow it to the right and in the place shown in the screenshot below, you will experience glitches, and then a cut-scene will start, during which you will meet Jay, that is, you do not need to look for her using a scanner.
Then chat with the girl. She will offer you to accompany and protect the President in exchange for treatment for your illness. At this moment, you will unlock an additional “Ability Tree”, which you can upgrade by spending biochip points. After the conversation, walk a little forward to the sign.
Get to the parking lot
The main entrance to the parking lot is guarded by operatives, so go around them, and then climb into the trash can. Wait until the guard turns his back and walks away before you climb out. Then start carefully walking past the soldiers - you can hack devices, thereby distracting the soldiers, seize control of people or eliminate them from behind.
However, you can easily arrange a loud shootout if you are confident in your abilities. Plus, if they find you and start looking for you, you can stop hiding and just run to the garage door. As soon as you go inside, the chase will immediately stop.
Walk forward to the next marker and interact with the sheet of metal lying on the floor. This will open a passage leading to the underground parking. Go downstairs.
Find the access point and restore power
Go down from the container, go up the stairs and enter the room from which the red light is shining. Here you will find an access point, however it will be disabled due to lack of power, so you will have to restore power.
Continue forward and go down the stairs. Turn left and find the generator, then start it. Go back and connect to the panel. Wait a moment until Jay starts the elevator platform, and then stand on it.
How to get to the bridge
During your elevator ride, Jay will answer a few of your questions. Once in a spacious room, move towards the car lift located in front and to the left. When you go down the platform, you can turn around and walk back a little to find equipment in the containers.
Go further, climb the beam and the machine to the upper level, and then stand on the elevator platform. V will then fall down. You will need to get to the bridge located at the top. This room will be quite dark, so move carefully or you may fall to your death.
Walk forward through the disassembled minivan. Then turn right next to the second car and climb up the overturned car. Wait until the loading platform arrives and cross it to the other side. Next, climb onto the platform on the left. Turn left again and then right.
Now jump forward along the beams. Continue walking, using the platforms with illuminated stripes as a guide. Then climb onto the crossbar on the left, which will also be illuminated in yellow. Climb onto the beams one last time and move straight towards the marker.
Enter Dog Town through the parking lot
Go forward, chatting with Jay along the way. When you climb the ladder, before going left, you can use Force (10) to break open the door on the right and find a lot of different equipment in the room.
Now go left. Jay will stop you and tell you that there are guards ahead who may be looking for you. You can either try to sneak past them, or just deal with them if you're confident in your abilities. For those who like to go secretly, we advise you to go under the metal platform, looking for a loophole next to the steps.
Here, by the way, you can find various loot. Move to the elevator on the opposite side and enter it.
Get to the black market and construction site
Exit the lift and simply follow the quest sign. This is a peaceful location in which the use of weapons is prohibited. Watch a short cutscene and go towards the construction site. To do this, go down and move in a southerly direction, passing by the trading floors.
Go outside and chat with Jay. Continue forward towards the sign. Go inside again and go between the containers to the turquoise door. Climb the stairs to the top and you will again find yourself in the fresh air.
Get on the roof
Climb to the top platform using the yellow metal ladder. Jay will call the elevator, but it will stop halfway, so you need to restart the generator, which is on the left side. Repair it and get on the lift.
Having risen, begin to climb even higher on the concrete rubble. Having reached the right place, chat with Jay again and watch the plane with the president fall to the ground. Now go down the garbage chute.
After this, a new story mission starts called “The Last Flight”, in which you will need to get to the site of the plane crash.
