In Genshin Impact Thalia and Melpomene are task of Fontaine's world and part of the quest line "Search in the Sea of Algae". Walkthrough of the quest “Thalia and Melpomene” in Genshin Impact
How to start a task
You will need to complete the previous mission in the chain called "Cupid's Love". Immediately after this, the next quest will appear in your journal with a marker indicating the location of the fourth seal. If this does not happen, then try logging out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes, and then re-login.
Head to the last seal
Travel to the teleporter in the southern underwater part of Mort or swim to the indicated point, and then move to the quest marker located near the entrance to the underwater ruins. Go through the Hurdle to get into the waterless space, and start running along the tunnel forward.
Get to the next barrier ahead and talk to your friends. You will come across another sign with a riddle. This time the correct answer will be given by Ann - “oceanid”. As a result, the Hurdle will fall and you will be able to continue on your way.
How to solve the riddle of orthanthus
First stream
Approach the device ahead and release its energy. Then start walking along the only path up. Once in a spacious cave, jump from the ledge down to the mechanism surrounded by meks. Deal with the robots, and then release the energy - the flow will go to the second generator on the left.
Use the lift to go up and release the energy from the device so that it goes to the central node - run after it and go through the Hurdle to get into the water space.
Second stream and special Key
Swim down into the open passage. In the next flooded room, turn right. Swim further until you reach a space with a xenochrome armored crab and three boulders with blue cracks. Take the ability from the sea creature and destroy all three stones (shown in the pictures below).
Now take the skill from the xenochrome octopus that came out of the barrier, pick up the reception crystals and install them in the control valve. Start using your skill on the valve to turn the receiving nodes in the desired direction (the blue arrows should light up on them). Next, swim into the small cave with the device and release its energy.
Do the same with the second device located on the upper bridge. Then open the chest and grate and swim through the Hurdle on the right to reach the room that was previously flooded. Here you will need to deal with several meks. Doing this will open the grate.
Pick up the special Key from the bookshelf on the right, go to the mechanism and take the elevator up. Release its energy to power the central node.
Run a little forward along the corridor and interact with the console to insert the previously selected key into it and open the grate. Climb the stairs, enter the open space and on the side wall you will find a luxurious chest.
Now go back to the main node and watch the short video. Then take the contents of the luxurious chest and click on the “Inspect” sign next to the green crystal. After this, the mission will come to an end and you will be able to continue the task "Search in the Sea of Algae".
