"Unique Thunderstorm" in True Stalker – a side mission that the player will receive while completing the story mission "In Search of the Code". The essence of the additional task is to repair the found, very powerful weapon.
This guide will tell you how to start the quest and where to find all the materials needed to repair the cannon.
How to start the quest “Unique Thunderstorm”
In the story mission "In Search of the Code" you have to find three stalkers, or rather what is left of them. By searching their bodies, you can get hold of some good things, among which will be a unique example of the OTs-14 “Grom” rifle, which requires serious repairs.
The image below shows the location of the corpse of the stalker, who has a weapon.
Having obtained the necessary thing, go to Mikhalych. He will offer to buy the gun for three and a half grand or find some materials for repairs.
Where to find all the materials for repairing a rifle
Mikhalych will tell you that all the necessary materials can be found at the Landfill, in the subway under the hangar. You can get there in one of three ways. Below on the map we have marked the location of all entrances.
One hatch is located outside the truck, another is also located on the street, near the bushes. The third hatch can be found indoors, behind the lattice door.
Below we will tell and show where the objects are if you use the hatch located next to the truck to enter.
Go down and run forward, you will see large boxes on the right. You will find them capacitor packaging.
From the stairs you came down, turn right, follow the short corridor and turn right again.
Run again to the end of the corridor, you will see a white washing machine, turn right again and you will find it on the rack box of transistors. Behind the shelf is another one, and on it is a can of rosin.
Now turn back, where the washing machine is located, a little further away there is a stand on which there is another can of rosin.
Next, run forward and after passing the iron stairs, turn right.
Just around the bend there is a low red box, on it you will find the next necessary material for Mikhalych ( capacitor packaging ).
Now go back a little and where you turned at the stairs, run straight to the end of the corridor, and then turn right and run again all the way. Below the table lies another item ( textolite base ).
From the stairs along which you went down to the subway, turn right and you will see boxes. Grab the item ( transistor box ), lying right next to them.
If you turn immediately to the left from the stairs, you can find another material ( textolite base ). It lies directly on a wooden box that stands in the far corner.
After you have collected all the materials, return to Mikhalych, give your finds to him and he will repair the rifle. Its characteristics can be found in the screenshot below.
