Walkthrough of the quest “Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero”
How to start a task
It starts automatically as soon as you complete the previous mission of this implicit chain - “Scrolls and Sword Manuals of Guhua”, where you examined the library. Just look in your quest log. If the task does not appear, then try logging out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes and re-login.
How to examine the mechanism and complete the test
After solving the puzzle in the library, the water level will drop and you will be able to go further into the temple complex. Go down the stairs, open the precious chest and continue down the steps. Activate the teleporter and enter the large spacious hall.
After talking with Paimon, go to the center of the arena and study the inscriptions on the stone. If you click on the “Touch the tablet” response, a combat test will start, where you will have to fight four waves of enemies:
- Hydro Slime.
- Mitachurl and hilichurl
- Hydro shamachurls and Anemo Hilichurl Rogue
- Geovishaps
Considering the latest enemies, we do not advise you to use physical. packs or Geo damage dealers, since Geovishaps are highly resistant to these types of damage. Take your most pumped up fighters and a good shield/healer. When you fight the Hilichurls, take out the Hydro Shamans first, as they will constantly heal their allies.
From time to time, red lines will appear in the arena, indicating that water blades will soon appear - immediately leave the affected area to avoid taking damage. A simple jerk to the side should be enough. True, in the heat of battle this can be problematic, so try to maintain a Noelle: Protector on the active hero or heal him in time.
Note: After the battle, south of the arena you can pick up a Dark Iron Sword (3 stars) from a regular chest. Its exact location is shown in the pictures below.
How to find an ancient sword
After completing the Achievement: Challenger , you will receive a luxury chest and can continue on your way as the water level will drop again. Run forward through the tunnel until you see a sword stuck into a stone ahead.
Approach the blade and examine it. Chat with Paimon again. This will complete the task. As a reward, you will receive 200 adventure points, 30 primogems and 35 thousand mora, and also unlock an achievement "The Supreme Secret".
Read "Records of an Ancient Swordsman I"
to make a pile of stones appear nearby - study them to get 10 thousand mora. Now you can try to unlock the “True Mastery of Spear and Sword” achievement by completing the Achievement: Challenger in the main hall and find the five lost Guhua swords.
