In this guide we will tell you how to start the task and indicate all its possible endings.

Walkthrough of the quest “Hunt for the Jadeite Orb” in Dragon's Dogma 2

    How to start a task

First of all, you will need to get to the regional capital of Vernworth. Then go to its northwestern part and use the services of a cart to move to the Border Town, located far to the west (you will have to pay 200 coins for transportation). On the way, you may be attacked by monsters, but the guards should deal with them without any problems.

Having arrived at the desired settlement, almost immediately a beastman named Ofaliy. He will ask you to find for him the Jadeite Sphere, which was stolen by thieves. If he didn’t run up to you himself, then you can easily find him near the entrance to the city (see screenshots below).

However, do not rush to search for a precious stone. Instead, go up the street on the left towards Celeste's Smithy and you will be called out directly across from her Everard (exact location is shown in the pictures below). He will tell you that Ofaliy stole the Jadeite Sphere from him and note that he will generously reward you for its return.

Where to find the Jadeite Sphere

If you want to find out the location of this item in the plot, then you will need to return to Vernworth, go to the dungeon tower located on the castle grounds, and ask the criminal sitting in the second cell on the right about it (see screenshots below). However it is not necessary to do this at all!

You can immediately head to Ibrahim's Hardware Store, located in the west of Border Town (the exact location is shown in the images below). Talk to him and then choose an option "Buy" . Among its assortment will be the pebble you need, the cost of which is 7.5 thousand gold.

You will be able to purchase only one stone from him, so you will have to choose who exactly to give it to. However, there is an option in which you can not only satisfy the requirements of both quest givers, but also keep the jadeite sphere with you.

Who should I give the Jadeite Sphere to - Everard or Ophalia?

Immediately after purchasing the stone, order the creation of a fake from Ibrahim, paying him 2000 gold for the work. He will note that he needs time to complete the order, so just sit on the bench located slightly to the right and above the store, and then fast forward time on it. You will need wait 2-3 days, before you can pick up a copy of the orb.

After receiving the Fake Jadeite Sphere, head to Ophaly, who will be waiting for you in the same place and give him the fake (or the real stone). He won’t even check it and will immediately give you a reward:

    • 3000 gold.
    • Elite backpack.

Note: If you gave Ofaliy a fake, then you can meet him in Border Town in a couple of days. He will say that he will definitely find a way to take revenge on you if he finds out that you deliberately gave him a fake stone. However, we ultimately did not encounter any negative consequences.

Next, you can go to Ibrahim again to create another fake or go straight to Everard. Give him a real or fake sphere, but unlike Ofaliy, he will decide to check the authenticity of the goods and will go with you to Ibrahim.

The merchant will note that he needs to do some business, so he will ask you to wait near the shop while he leaves. If you previously gave Everard the fake, you can bribe Ibrahim by paying him 12000 gold, and then he won't rat you out. Otherwise, the quest giver will find out that you wanted to deceive him, so you will end up in a dungeon.

If you gave Everard a real stone or were able to bribe Ibrahim, you will receive from him as a reward:

    • 12,000 gold.
    • Ring of Deception – increases damage when attacking from behind.

Note that the Jadeite Sphere itself can be sold for approximately 2500 gold. For this reason, we do not advise you to try to deceive Everard. The most profitable option for you - this is to give the fake to Ophaly, and give the real stone to Everard. Let's add that for completing this quest you will receive 1000 experience points.
