Walkthrough of the quest “Claw Them Into Shape” in Dragon's Dogma 2
How to start a task
You can find Beren in the Garden of Moonlight after completing the main story mission “In the Footsteps of the Dragon.” Talk to him to start the quest.
Chances are that if you approach the camp during the day, you will not find the warrior there. In this case, he can be found at the training site in the Border Outpost area. After talking to you, he will return to his tent.
How to help Beren find a weapon
It turns out that the beastman is dissatisfied with the abilities of all his students. He will ask you to bring three swords and look for a reliable recruit.
Absolutely any swords will suit Bern. If you do not have suitable free items, then you can purchase them from both the Border Outpost and Vernworth. We recommend purchasing from Kassandra in the first settlement so as not to waste extra gold.
Where to find a capable student
Next, head to Wernworth. On one of the streets of the Trade Quarter you will come across a young man named Humphrey. Tell him about Beren. The new recruit decides that training with a beastman is a good idea and sets off on a quest.
Fight with Beren
Go to the warrior's camp. Give him the swords you found.
He should also tell you about Humphrey's successes. If he doesn't mention his student, move away from the tent, then come back and start a conversation. It is possible that this action will have to be repeated several times.
When Beren talks about the recruit's training, he will begin to remember the old days and decide to arrange a training battle with you. Further events can develop according to three scenarios, but no matter which one you choose, this will not affect the further plot of the quest.
- Win a sparring match by pushing Beren out of bounds. The Fighter class will perform especially well here, as you can quickly throw the Beastman off balance with the help of a shield.
- Lose the fight. If you don't want to fight, simply walk outside the field yourself, thereby completing the challenge.
- If the battle drags on, Beren will get nervous and decide to stop the battle.
Follow Beren
When you complete the battle, a soldier will run up to the beastman to report an emergency. Follow Beren, dealing with monsters along the way.
Eventually you will reach the victims, who will tell you what happened. After the final dialogue with Beren, the task will be completed. Your reward will be 1200 experience points and 4500 gold. You will also have access to the mission “Beren's Last Lesson”.
