How to start a task
Get to Vernworth by completing the story quest "The Throne of the Lord", and then go to the North Vernworth camp, located near the north-eastern exit from the capital. As you approach the cart, an older man named Donovan should approach you. Listen to him and agree to deliver the letter to Lennart in Melve. You will also receive 200 gold from him for travel.
If you refused him the first time, you can find him again next to the pillar for calling the cart. We advise you to go to Melwe after completing at least one task given to you by Brant, so that upon arrival in the village you will start the quest "Return of Disaster".
How to get to Melve
If you wish, you can try to reach the settlement on foot (the map below shows its location), but we advise you not to waste time and just pay the driver 100 coins, standing not far from the carriage calling post. After that, climb into the cart and sit on the bench.
In theory, you can view the entire route of the cart all the way to Melve, but we recommend that you simply click on the “doze” button. This will save you a lot of minutes and avoid a griffin (or drake) that can break the cart as soon as you leave the city.
However, be prepared for the fact that the cart may still be attacked halfway through the journey. As a rule, she is attacked by goblins or bandits, but sometimes there are even more terrible enemies, for example, cyclops and ogres. However, you won’t have to fight them alone, since the cab driver has his own convoy. Having dealt with your opponents, sit down on the bench again and fall asleep.
Note: If the “doze” button does not work, then most likely there are still enemies nearby. In this case, the pawns are likely to go looking for them. If this does not happen, then use the “Action!” command. and finish off the remaining monsters.
Where to find Lennart
Its location changes depending on the time of day and the quests you have completed. For example, if you take on the quest “Return of Disaster”, you can find it near the exit from the settlement located in the north in the burned part of Melwe. Chat with him a few times if he doesn't take the letter.
You can also find him near the well in the northeast of the village, in his house, inn, or near the dilapidated arch in the west of Melwe. On the map below we have shown all the places where Lennart could be located.
If you did not find him at the indicated points, then with a high probability this character died, either from a drake or from archers’ shots. Look for his corpse and revive him with the awakening stone. If you haven't found the body, then go to the morgue in Wernworth, the location of which is shown in the pictures below.
After delivering the letter, return to the cart or wait for it near the pillar, and then return to the capital. On the way, monsters may attack you again, so be prepared for a fight. Immediately after arriving, approach Donovan again, who will automatically start a conversation with you. Tell him that you delivered the letter and the mission will end.
As a result, you will receive a reward: 300 experience points, 5 thousand gold and miner's trousers - a good piece of armor for the legs that increases resistance to electric and ice attacks.
