In Dragon's Dogma 2 A Magisterial Amenity is a side quest that tasks you with finding Valdar's confiscated glasses and returning them to their owner. To do this, you will need to go to the pantry of the masquerade hall of Wernworth Castle. If you have difficulties receiving and completing the task, then study our guide.
Walkthrough of the quest “A Magisterial Amenity” in Dragon's Dogma 2
How to start a task
Before you can take on this mission, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Complete a story mission "Prisoner Lawyer".
- Complete the side mission called "On the outskirts of history".
Having dealt with these requirements, return to the Vaults of the Gracious Hand, located in the Slums of the capital. Then go to the secret library where Valdar is staying. Talk to the old man and agree to help him return the glasses, which were confiscated and sent to the storeroom.
Where to find confiscated Valdar glasses
The storeroom of the masquerade hall is located in a guarded area of the castle, where outsiders are not allowed, so if you are discovered, you will most likely be sent to prison. For this reason, we advise you to visit this location during the quest "The Stolen Throne", having previously put on a mask, courtier's trousers and a courtier's tunic.
Note: Some players note that they were able to enter Vernworth Hall during the daytime without any problems - the guards did not stop them. Perhaps this is a bug.
After passing the check and finding yourself inside the building, go to the center of the ballroom and watch the cut-scene. Then turn around and go to the exit, but before reaching the door, turn left into the corridor. Run forward along it and go past the first passage on the right. Next, turn into the second room on the right side. Here you will find a chest and a shelf containing Exquisite glasses.
After collecting the glasses, return to Valdar, who will still be in the Vaults of the Gracious Hand. Give him the item you found to complete the quest. As a reward, you will receive 900 experience points and a grimoire with the spell “Winter Path”.
