Walkthrough of the mission “The Sun Also Rises” in Honkai: Star Rail
How to start a task
It starts automatically immediately after completing the previous mission in the line called “At the top all paths converge”. So open your quest log and start tracking the quest you want. If this does not happen, then try logging out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes and re-login.
Talk to Black Swan, Dan Heng and Himeko
When you come to your senses, leave the room, turn right and chat with Black Swan. Then go downstairs and chat with Dan Heng, standing near the bar with Boothill.
Next, go to the hotel lobby and turn left to find Himeko and Velt - they will talk to Jing Yuan. The general will report that through negotiations it will be possible to return peace to Penaconia. Next you will be asked what you will do. You can choose any answer, since you will still have to go to a meeting with KMM representatives.
Talk to Topaz, Ratio and Aventurine
Move to the "Hotel Lobby" anchor on the ground floor of the location and approach the group of people near the counter. Chat with your old friends. Suddenly, the KMM decides to abandon its claims to Penaconia's sovereignty. The Guild of Scholars and the Society of Geniuses will help in restoring the planet.
Where will the star express go next?
Return to the General Car. You will immediately receive the achievement “If we walk in the light.” Then go to Pom-Pom. A meeting will begin regarding where the Starlight Express will go next. You will need to choose one of the worlds:
- Ocean world Mermaid.
- Agate world Melustanin.
- Edo Star.
- Glass belt of Patrevia.
- Can not choose…
It is your vote that will be decisive, so the crew will choose the planet you point to. But in reality this does not affect anything, so you can indicate any world you like.
Talk to your friends before you jump
You can immediately approach Black Swan and chat with her, or talk to the rest of the Star Express members first (optional). The second option will only allow you to listen to a little more dialogue that does not affect anything.
During a conversation with Black Swan, you can choose any answers, as they will not affect the plot. After the conversation, the credits will suddenly begin. You will learn that Sunday has won, and the members of the Star Express and all the inhabitants of Penaconia have died.
Where did the fatal flaw appear?
Listen to the story of the Black Swan. She will note that there is a fatal flaw in one place, and you will need to choose it from the given options (don't be afraid to make a mistake, as you can then point out a different answer without any problems):

You will realize that you are still in the Dream World. Watch a short video, after which the mission will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 600 Mastery points, 80 star jades, 80 thousand credits, 300 hour credits, 6 lost crystals and 6 traveler's guides. You will also have access to the next quest in the chain called “And on the Eighth Day.”
