Earlybird Ticket to Safety in Zenless Zone Zero: How to Load Explosives and Defeat the Dead End Butcher

    Zorthrus

In Zenless Zone Zero Earlybird Ticket to Safety is a research and part of a quest chain "The Cat's Missing", where you have to get to a train, load it with explosives by solving a small puzzle, and defeat the Dead End Butcher. If you have any difficulties completing the task, then study our guide.

Completing the study “Earlybird Ticket to Safety” in ZZZ

    How to start the quest

During the passage "The Cat's Missing" you will need to chat with Belle to discuss your further plan of action. The game will warn you about the need to upgrade your heroes. Next, interact with the HDD system and click on the ball called “Main Line”. Select the order you need and click “Forward” to start the corresponding task.

Next, select a team. Note that the game recommends taking ice and ethereal characters of at least level 15, however, in this mission, as in the previous one, there will be a test mode, that is, you will be allowed to play as trial heroes with suitable parameters and equipment. If you wish, you can disable this feature by using your own agents. We decided to use the default settings.

    How to take the train

After the mission starts, talk to the Sly Hares - you can choose any answers. When you appear on the playing field, start moving to the right, picking up the sixlings and the data packet along the way. Then enter the funnel to move to another card. Start following the only path down and to the left. When you reach the fork, go left and unlock the gate by spending 2500 sixlings.

You'll unlock a secret reward area on the left side - collect all the rewards, then jump into the crater at the top. You will be taken to the other side of the first location. Go up and to the left to pick up the data packet, and then go right and stand on the last square with the train.

After talking with your friends, engage in battle with the corporation’s fighters. They are not much different from ordinary ethereals, except that they use long-range weapons. If you see a red beam aimed at your character, then immediately use dodge to avoid getting shot. Enemies with shields should be attacked from behind.

Next, you will have to fight a robot that is vulnerable to physical and ethereal damage, so we recommend attacking it mainly with Nicole and Billy. Don't forget to use Perfect Assist on his attacks. After dealing with the elite enemy, watch the lengthy comic and video.

    How to load explosives

You will return to the playing field. You will need to move three bombs onto the train. You can move them just like metal cubes. You have to deliver them to the treadmill below. Below we will explain in detail how to load each explosive.

So, go right, and then go up the treadmills and stand on the bomb on the right and at the top to switch places with it. Now return to the train on the treadmill on the left and move first bomb in the right direction, following the route shown in the second screenshot below.

Next, grab second bomb located at the top. To do this, you will need to first lead her to a dead end a little higher, and then change places with her and move her down to the train. The picture below shows the entire route.

Before grabbing the last bomb, go left all the way to the end to start the event "Ethereal Drops". Then select the "Collect Ether Drops" option to receive a new banbu plugin, which you can use to resurrect the disabled agent. It will come in handy during the fight with the Dead End Butcher.

Remained third explosive. First, stand on her square to switch places. Next, move it up all the way and stand on the bomb square again. She will return to the middle of the path, and you will be able to move freely (the first screenshot below shows the corresponding route). Now bring the object to the dead end on the left and change places with it again. Then all you have to do is load it onto the train.

How to beat the Butcher from the Dead End

Next, watch the comic, and then take the train. Watch the video where the boss appears. You have to fight an ethereal mutant, vulnerable to Ice and Ether. If you chose your own agents, you had to take characters with the appropriate elements. If you use trial fighters, then try to call Nicole more often, as she deals ethereal damage.

As soon as you see an attack with a cross-shaped golden halo, immediately press Space to perform a perfect assist and counterattack. If you see a red halo, then jump back immediately, since you will not be able to block a heavy blow. You can also dash if you see a golden halo - to do this, you need to perform a dodge (RMB) right before the enemy attack. Then click on the LMB to perform a counterattack.

Note that the boss can perform several powerful attacks at once, so get ready for the fact that you will have to press Space or RMB three or four times in time. Otherwise, you will receive damage and will not be able to counterattack.

When using attack chains, try to always summon Banba Amillion, as he is capable of dealing massive damage with his machine guns. After stunning the enemy, use your superpowers so that he receives maximum damage.

When you bring the boss's health to zero, the second phase will begin. The enemy will have two extra arms and will use longer combo attacks with area damage. At these moments, try to stay as far away from the enemy as possible, switching to Billy. Also watch out for the boss beam by dashing when it gets close to you.

If you saved the Banboo patch, you will be able to resurrect one of your agents if he dies. Keep hitting the boss until he runs out of health, then watch the epic cutscene and read the comic.

This will bring the task to an end. If you followed all our instructions, you will receive the maximum reward: 60 polychromes, 347 Internot credits, 22,600 denis and various materials for leveling up.
