In Zenless Zone Zero Saving Hacker Rain is an exploration mission and part of a quest chain "Midnight Search". As part of it, you will have to reach the rebels, take the elevator to the roof, save Rain, find a way out of the cavern and defeat the Twin Puppets. If you have any difficulties completing the task, then study our guide.
Walkthrough of the mission "Saving Hacker Rain" in ZZZ
How to start a quest
During the quest "Midnight Search" You will need to go to the Ballet Twins area to talk to the Victoria Agency members again and tell them who Rain really is. Then go back to the video store and talk to your sister/brother to get the story mission.
Next, interact with the HDD system and find the corresponding task in the "Main Line". The game will advise you to take electric and ice characters of at least level 38, but we just used trial heroes: Ellen, Lycaon and Rina - we had no problems destroying monsters with this team.
Go to the rebels
Once on the playing field, start moving to the right towards the blue barrier. Then activate the infrared camera (key "R"), go to the right, destroy all the ghosts and stand on the cell with the ethereal friend so that he opens the door for you. Now go up and to the right to the lamp, turning it on.
Pick up the shearlings and read the newspaper. Then head down to the treadmills and use them to reach the next light bulb. Continue south until you are blocked by ghosts. Turn on your infrared vision and kill all the enemies in front of you.
Go right and stand on another light bulb to activate it. Go a little further to the right to the blue door and activate the infrared camera. Then, as a phantom, go to the incorporeal friend at the top so that he opens the door for you. Next, stand on the piston on the right and quickly move up, collecting gears along the way. Having arrived at a new place, light another lamp.
Read the new newspaper, collect the shearling and purple briefcase on the left, then head down. Stand on the rebel's square to begin the combat challenge. You'll be dealing with a group of rank-and-file soldiers and one Attack Gunner who's weak to Electro and resistant to Fire, so hit him with Rina often. Beware of his laser attack - try to stay behind this enemy.
After dealing with all the enemies, watch the new comic and talk to Billy. You will learn that the airship with the "Sly Hares" is flying straight to the "Ballet Twins". If you do not stop it, it will end up inside the cavern. Return to the playing field, pick up the key and 1st data package, and then open the door on the right and jump into the funnel.
Take the elevator to the roof
Once you've moved to the new area, head right and grab another key, then stand in the overwatch area to unlock the large area ahead. Once you've regained control of the Banbu, head right, reading the new newspaper and standing next to the blue barrier.
Switch to the infrared camera and go down as a phantom, standing on the cage with the incorporeal friend so that he opens the passage for you. Then fly down using the pistons. Take another key and open the shutter just below, spending 4000 sherlings to get the golden briefcase behind it.
Next, move left and up. Open the door on the right with the key and take another gold case. Then go right, take 2nd package of observation data and study the newspaper issue. After that, you can open the door above with the second key and jump into the funnel. Start the elevator to begin the combat test, where you will have to defeat a group of ordinary mobs and one Thanatos. Be careful, as this enemy is able to disappear and then attack from under invisibility.
Save Rhine
Once in the new area, move to the right, picking up dennys and turning off light bulbs along the way. Stand on the rebel's square to begin the combat challenge. Deal with a group of rank-and-file fighters and one attack gunner. Then Lycaon will deal with the rest of the rebels. Read the comic about saving the hacker.
Find the exit from the cavern in the lobby of Tower B
Chat with Rain and the Victoria Agency members. Back on the playing field, start heading down and pick up the Kaleido Lantern, which will expand your vision. Next, you'll have to go through an area swarming with enemies. The good news is that you won't have to fight every single one of them as part of the combat challenges, but the bad news is that meeting them will increase your infection meter. If it reaches 100 points, you'll get a debuff that will make it harder for you to face the boss.
For this reason, we recommend that you try to avoid encounters with monsters, ignoring the denny that lies nearby. Also try to step on blue cells that reduce pressure. In infrared vision mode, by the way, you can see the entire route (see screenshots below).
At the end of the path take 3rd package of observation data and collect the Ether Drops to get the corresponding plugin. Then go to the right and stand on the red button. Read the last newspaper article and get to the flag to start the boss fight.
How to defeat the Twin Puppets
This time you will have to fight two ballerinas at once: The Puppet Under the Gray Veil and The Puppet Under the Black Veil They are both vulnerable to ice and ether attacks, and also use similar attacks, most of which can be easily parried - the main thing is to press the dodge or help button in time.
If you see that the ballerinas have come up to each other and started glowing purple, performing a common rotational movement, then immediately jump away from them, since you will not be able to parry this blow and will receive serious damage if you do not move away. However, you will not be safe even if you run away from the enemies, since one of the ballerinas will perform dashes in your direction - dodge them in time to avoid damage.
Let's add that sometimes the ballerinas will unite in a dance to launch purple projectiles at you. At this point, we recommend switching to a character with a melee weapon (for example, Ellen) and sprinting to deflect all the blades. After this move, the bosses usually start dashing across the arena - their movements are demonstrated as purple rectangles on the floor. It is easiest to dodge these attacks with mobile heroes (again, Ellen will do).
Next, we do not recommend that you concentrate all your attacks on one enemy - lower their health evenly. The thing is that if you lower the health of one of the ballerinas to zero, she will not die. Instead, the second puppet will approach her and start singing, restoring her life points. So first bring the HP of both bosses to 5%, and only then finish off one of them and quickly deal with the second enemy.
After defeating the Twin Puppets, watch the colorful video and read another comic. After that, the order will be completed. If you followed our instructions, you will receive an "S" rating and the maximum reward: 313 Internet points, 60 polychromes, 22 thousand denni and upgrade materials.
