Starfield Cheats, Codes & Console Commands (Item ID)

    Zorthrus

In Starfield cheats and codes help to significantly simplify the life of a novice space explorer, making him invulnerable, supplying endless ammo and credits, or significantly increasing the level. Console commands also help to get around some bugs or get through a buggy mission.

For this reason, we decided to prepare an article with all the main cheat codes available in the game. We have also prepared a list of IDs (identification numbers) of the most useful items, including weapons, credits, shells, and so on.

How to activate the console in Starfield

As with other Bethesda Game Studios games, to activate the console, you simply need to press the "~" (tilde, "Yo") key during the game. After that, a translucent menu with a special line will pop up at the bottom of the screen, where you will need to enter the codes.

Important: Using certain commands will disable achievements. They can also cause bugs and errors. For this reason, we advise you to be sure to save before using this or that cheat.

Note: Unfortunately, cheat codes do not work on Xbox Series X/S consoles. Maybe this can be fixed somehow in the future.

    All Starfield cheat codes

    Basic commands

    • tgm - makes the main character invulnerable and supplies him with an unlimited amount of ammunition.
    • tim - the main character continues to take damage, but his health will never drop to 0.
    • psb - unlocks all the available abilities of the main character.
    • tdetect - NPCs can no longer detect you.
    • tcai - Combat AI will no longer target you. To disable it, simply re-enter the command.
    • tcl - allows the hero to fly through walls, floors and other objects. To disable it, simply re-enter the command.
    • tm - toggles the UI menu on/off.
    • tfc - disables the camera lock to the hero, so you can fly around the map freely.
    • killall - all NPCs in the given location will be killed.
    • kah - all hostile NPCs in the given location will be killed.
    • unlock – allows you to open the selected door or container. To select a target, you need to approach it and click on it with the console open to get its specific ID. Only then enter the command.
    • sexchange - allows you to change the gender of your character to the opposite.
    • showmenu sleepwaitmenu - Opens the sleep/wait menu. In it, you can quickly change the game time.
    • player.additem 0000000f 100000 - allows you to get 100,000 credits to your account. You can choose any number. Below is a more detailed description of the process of adding items to the inventory.
    • player.paycrimegold 0 0 (faction ID) - allows you to get out of prison, keep all stolen items and automatically pay all outstanding bounties on your head in the specified faction.

    Commands for adding items

    • player.additem (ID of the desired item) (x) - get an item in the amount of "x" directly into the inventory. Item IDs are shown below.
    • player.placeatime (ID of the desired item, monster or character) (x) - the desired monster, character or item in the amount of "x" appears in front of the main character. NPC IDs are presented below.
    • (reference weapon ID).amod (modification ID) - the specified modification will be installed on your reference weapon.
    • (reference weapon ID).rmod (mod ID) - The specified modification will be removed from your reference weapon.

Note: write ID and numbers without brackets. We used them for a more convenient consideration of the console command.

An example of a console command to add items: Let's say you need one Breach Shotgun. In this case, open the console, and write player.additem 000547A3 1 in it - after that, the necessary weapon will immediately appear in your inventory.

Actions with NPCs (characters) and items

To activate the commands below, you need to get very close to the desired creature or item, then open the console and click on the object with the left mouse button. If the click is successful, the object's identification number will appear in the console. After that, you will be able to use the following cheats:

    • kill - instantly kills the selected creature
    • resurrect - instantly resurrect the selected creature
    • resetai - restores the default dialogue, that is, it erases the character's memory. It should be used when killing an NPC and then resurrecting it, as NPCs killed and resurrected by you often refuse to talk to you later
    • equipitem item_id - equips the specified character with the selected item (item IDs are listed below), that is, you can fully equip your ally without spending a single coin
    • inv - displays a list of items contained in a particular object
    • disable - hides the selected object
    • enable - Reveals a creature or item previously hidden with the disable command

Pumping and changing the main character

    • player.setlevel (x) - Raises your character's level to the specified value.
    • showlooksmenu player 1 - Opens the character creation menu, allowing you to customize your character's appearance, name, background, and traits.
    • player.addperk (Perk ID) - allows you to add the selected skill, trait, or backstory to your character. Please note that you will need an empty slot for a perk, trait, or backstory in order to add a new one. Therefore, before executing this command, be sure to first remove the unnecessary perk.
    • player.removeperk (Perk ID) - The selected skill, trait, or backstory will be removed from your character.

Again, you can see the identification numbers of all skills, traits and backgrounds just below in the relevant sections.

    Completing quests

In some missions, bugs and errors may occur, due to which it is simply impossible to complete the quest. Here are a few console commands to help you overcome these difficulties (only the first two have been tested so far):

    • saq - starts all story and side quests. Please note that this may lead to errors and crashes from the game.
    • caqs - completes all story quests. Please note that this may lead to errors and crashes from the game.
    • showquesttargets - you can see the ID of the active task shows the ID
    • getstage[id квеста] - thanks to it, you can find out at what stage of the passage of a particular quest you are (parentheses, of course, do not need to be written)
    • setstage[id квеста][этап] - you can independently indicate the stage of completion of a particular task in order, for example, to jump over a problematic or boring section
    • movetoqt[id квеста] - instant transfer to a key point or the last unfinished stage of the task being performed
    • sqs[id квеста] - you can find out the names of all stages of the active task
    • resetquest[id квеста] - allows you to delete all stages of a particular mission, allowing you to play it again (if you want the quest to disappear from the quest log, then you need to save and then load the game)
    • player.completequest[id квеста] - Finish the task in progress. We do not advise you to use this command, as it does not allow you to take on the next mission if you are dealing with a quest chain. Only use if you don't plan to play any further quests in the line.
