Before official release Atomic Heart less than a day is left, but Western publications have already begun to publish their reviews of the Russian shooter. Most of them turned out to be positive, so his average Metacritic rating is now 76 points out of 100 possible.

Most of the reviewers were delighted with the unusual setting of the project, which is a kind of Soviet retrofuturism. Some called it a real work of art. The developers also managed to intelligently combine puzzles, battles and crafting with each other, but the gameplay still looks secondary - it is quite often compared with bioshock.
The reviewers also attributed the poor development of the character of the protagonist and a large number of bugs to the minuses of the game, even on the console versions of the game. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the journalists were given a build that was not yet fully polished - many hope that the final version of the shooter will be more optimized.
We add that videos with new gameplay began to appear on the network. Some even posted a full walkthrough of the story campaign, so the developers warn players about possible spoilers.
A video has also appeared on YouTube comparing all versions of the game for PlayStation consoles. On PS4 and PS4 Pro, Atomic Heart runs at 30 frames per second, and on PS5 this figure is doubled. In addition, on the current generation console, the project boasts an increased draw distance, better textures, vegetation, and post-processing effects.
