Capcom released a demo of the remake tonight Resident Evil 4, which can be played without any time limits not only on consoles (PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S), but also on PC. It supports Russian localization, including full voiceover of dialogues.
The trial version features a small area from the very beginning of the game, where Leon Kennedy first finds himself in a remote village, whose inhabitants are infected with dangerous parasites. It takes about 20-30 minutes to complete the demo, but there are no restrictions on the number of repeated βwalksβ.
At the same time, various demo videos began to appear on the network. For example, just above you can see its passage on a PC at maximum graphics settings in 4K resolution. On the GameXplain channel, they decided to compare the remake again with the original, released almost 20 years ago.
The ElAnalistaDeBits team decided to compare the graphics in the PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 versions. On the latter, the game, of course, looks the best, since it not only has improved texture detail, increased resolution and increased viewing distance, but also has ray tracing. On the other hand, the difference between PS4 Pro and PS5 cannot be called stunning, and in dynamics it may not be noticeable at all.
We add that the demo has also already been tested on the Steam Deck portable console, despite the fact that the remake is not officially optimized for this device. On the minimum graphics settings, at a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and with the FSR 2.0 function activated, the game runs at 40-50 frames per second in open areas. We remind you that the release of the RE4 remake is scheduled for March 24 this year.
