Insiders talk about the new male character from Fontaine in Genshin Impact

Yesterday, a group of whistleblowers from Team China posted details about the appearance of the new male character from Genshin Impact with a tall body model, who they speculate may be Varka, magister of the Knights of Favonius. However, later several dataminers stated at once that in fact we are talking about a hero from Fontaine.

For example, according to hxg_diluc, the new character does not have any design elements on his clothes that would indicate his connection with a knightly order. At the same time, all other members of the Knights of Favonius must have an image of the coat of arms. Although the possibility cannot be ruled out that Varka is thereby hiding his identity.

The insider also stated that there are no details showing that he is a Boreas Knight. There is some adherence to the "wolf" style in the design of the character (fur on the collar), but this does not show his essence. For example, the design of both Hu Tao and Eimiya includes butterflies, but the meaning of their use is strikingly different from each other.

Plus, the color palette of this hero is more suitable for people living in Fontaine than in Mondstadt: it includes wine, black and silver shades. Therefore, the dataminer believes that this tall man is not Varka.

It was later revealed on the Mero insider channel that the new character's name in Chinese is Leosley (莱欧斯利) and English is Wriothesley. As for his element, at this point in time, it is reported that he will possess Cryo God's Eye.

In addition, the artist PreepawRichter has already drawn fan art of the character, which was rated by the insider Tao (Plusle) at 7.5 points out of 10 possible. She noted that his red tie was hanging on the outside, not wrapped in a shirt. If you believe the previous leaks from Team China, then you can see this hero already in patches 3.8+, that is, even before the release of Fontaine.
