Western publications began to publish the first reviews on Dead Island 2, and many of them were positive, so the average rating of zombie action on Metacritic is now 75 points out of 100 possible. Note that the original at one time received 71-80 points depending on the platform.
Most critics agreed that fighting and killing zombies in the game is quite fun, and that's what players will have to do most of the time. All thanks to a huge variety of weapons and a well-developed dismemberment system. The pluses also include crafting, bright style and a good graphic component.
However, the gameplay for different heroes is largely the same, and the main and side tasks, which are not very many here, often repeat each other. For this reason, despite its short duration, the game can get boring towards the end of the story. The story itself, according to reviewers, consists of some clichΓ©s, and the characters turned out to be unmemorable.
Note that a comparison of Dead Island 2 on the PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 consoles also appeared on the network. On the latter, of course, the game looks noticeably better - all thanks to improved animations, shadows, lighting and textures. We remind you that the release of the project is scheduled for April 21 this year.
