During the game show Summer Game Fest, the first gameplay was presented Mortal Kombat 1, which, although it is a direct continuation of the eleventh part, gently restarts the series. Recall that in MK11, Liu Kang was able to create a new universe in which the backstories of many characters have changed.
For example, Scorpio and Sub-Zero are now brothers and allies, so they fight evil together. Many characters have changed appearance, but not as dramatically as previously thought. Johnny Cage is still a popular movie star living in the USA, and Kitana and Milina are still at odds with each other, however, now for the throne of Edenia.
In terms of graphics, the new part is not much different from the previous one. However, there is a little more blood, and fatalities and X-Ray look even more spectacular. The main gameplay feature, apparently, will be the ability to call for help from an ally. At the end, the exact release date of the fighting game was revealed - September 19, 2023.
