As part of the gamescom 2023 gaming exhibition, the HoYoverse team decided to showcase a lot of new gameplay of their new action role-playing game called Zenless Zone Zero. The videos were posted by several publications on their channels.
On the posted frames you can see a lot of different mechanics present in the game. For example, players will be able to freely explore a large post-apocalyptic city where they can find food stalls, music stores and slot machines where they can play various mini-games.
Of course, the developers also demonstrated battles with a variety of monsters, including bosses. Note that the combat system in the game resembles the one used in Genshin Impact, however, has a number of distinctive features. For example, it will need to correctly press the buttons at the right time to perform multi-stage combo attacks.
In this case, it will also be possible to freely switch between characters, each of which has a unique set of abilities. As for the game's release date, HoYoverse again hasn't named it. Note that the project will have to be released on computers, consoles and mobile devices.
