Square Enix recently announced that they are working on a version of the game. Final Fantasy XVI for PC, and also announced two paid add-ons. In turn, gamers began to vigorously discuss this news on the network, and one of the users of the Resetera forum even suggested that the role-playing game might become an Epic Games Store exclusive. Recall that this is exactly what happened with FF VII Remake Intergrade, the release of which took place first in EGS and only six months later the game reached Steam.

However, the head of the RPGSite portal, Alex Donaldson, denied these assumptions, informing the players that at present the developer's plans do not include making Final Fantasy XVI any kind of exclusive, however, since the release is still a long time away, something may change. Moreover, Donaldson also shared information about the upcoming paid DLC Final Fantasy XVI. According to him, the additions will not continue the story of the main plot, but will expand it.

Released in June this year, FF XVI is currently a six-month exclusive for the PlayStation 5 console.
