As previously stated, in the long-awaited space adventure Starfield more than a thousand different planets are available for users to explore, but some of them are quite deserted and do not contain the content that gamers could count on. Bethesda Game's executive producer Todd Howard previously warned that 90% of the planets would be lifeless, as he wants players to experience the feeling of being a pioneer. It seems that not all gamers heeded the words of Tod and comments and indignation on this topic began to appear on various forums.
The studio could not stay away from the heated debate that unfolded online, and director Ashley Cheng commented on this topic in a special interview with The New York Times. He once again focused on the fact that the developers tried to convey the scale of the whole universe and that in real life the number of inhabited planets is even less.
Starfield is out on September 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game was also included in the Game Pass subscription on the day of release.
